DOD Boneshaker Distortion Pedal
Designed by Black Arts Toneworks
Product Overview
The DOD Boneshaker is a versatile distortion pedal designed to deliver powerful and dynamic tonal shaping for guitarists and bassists. It offers extensive EQ control alongside classic distortion, making it a flexible addition to any pedalboard.
Controls and Functions
The front panel of the Boneshaker features several knobs and a footswitch for comprehensive control:
- DISTORTION: Adjusts the amount of distortion gain.
- DEPTH: Adjusts the low frequency 'growl', particularly useful for extended range instruments.
- LEVEL: Controls the overall output level of the distortion effect.
- LOW EQ: Adjusts the low frequency range and its level.
- MID EQ: Adjusts the mid frequency range and its level.
- HIGH EQ: Adjusts the high frequency range and its level.
- INPUT: Connect your instrument here (e.g., guitar or bass).
- FOOTSWITCH: Engages or disengages the effect.
- LED: Illuminates when the effect is enabled.
- OUTPUT: Connect to the next pedal in your chain or directly to your amplifier's input.
Using the Boneshaker
For optimal performance, most guitarists and bassists prefer placing the Boneshaker at the beginning of their effects chain. A typical signal chain order often involves Distortion effects first, followed by Modulation effects (like Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo), and finally Time-based effects (Delay and Reverb).
Positioning the Boneshaker towards the front of your signal chain helps preserve its unique character, regardless of the pedals that follow. Experimentation is encouraged, as the Boneshaker also pairs well with other distortion and fuzz pedals.
