IKEA RAMSHULT Bracket Assembly Instructions
!
As wall materials vary, screws for fixing to wall are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems, contact your local specialised dealer.
Product Overview
The RAMSHULT bracket is designed for wall mounting. It is important to use screws and fixings appropriate for your specific wall material. If you are unsure, consult a specialist dealer.
The bracket is shown in the diagram. It is a single piece with a decorative curved support.
Before You Begin
Ensure you have the necessary tools. The following are typically required:
- Screwdriver (cross-head)
- Pencil
- Spirit level
If you are unsure about the assembly process, refer to the IKEA store or contact customer support.
Installation Steps
- Marking the Wall: Use a pencil and spirit level to mark the desired position for the bracket on the wall. Ensure the marks are level. The diagram shows a bracket being held against the wall with a pencil marking the screw hole positions.
- Drilling Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. The type of drill bit should be appropriate for your wall material.
- Inserting Fixings: If required for your wall type (e.g., drywall), insert appropriate wall plugs into the drilled holes.
- Attaching the Bracket: Align the bracket with the holes and insert screws through the bracket's mounting holes. Tighten the screws securely. The diagram shows screws being inserted through the bracket and into the wall.
- Checking Level: Use a spirit level to ensure the bracket is mounted straight. Adjust if necessary before fully tightening the screws. The diagram shows a spirit level being used on the bracket.
- Attaching the Shelf: Place the shelf onto the bracket. Secure the shelf to the bracket using screws, as shown in the diagram. Ensure the shelf is level and stable.
- Final Check: Ensure all screws are tightened and the shelf is securely mounted.
Important Considerations:
- The maximum weight capacity of the bracket depends on the wall material and the fixings used. Refer to the diagrams for guidance on shelf lengths and weight distribution.
- Avoid overloading the shelf. The diagrams illustrate correct and incorrect weight distribution on shelves of different lengths (50 cm, 70-80 cm, ≥100 cm). Overloading can cause the shelf to bend or break.
Care and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
