Overview
The Grandstream GRP2670 is a next-generation, carrier-grade IP phone designed for managers and frontline workers. It features a 7-inch (1024x600) capacitive touchscreen LCD, Gigabit Ethernet ports, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 5-way voice conferencing, and an electronic HookSwitch (EHS). Phone Installation
Wall Mounting (Bracket Sold Separately)
- Attach the wall mount spacers to the wall mount slots on the back of the phone.
- Mount the phone to the wall using the wall mount hole.
- Release the handset hook latch (refer to diagram).
- Rotate the latch and reinsert it into the slot with the extension facing up to secure the handset when the phone is wall-mounted.
Desk Stand Installation
To install the phone on a desk using the included stand, attach the stand to the base of the phone where the stand slot is located.
Connecting the Phone
Follow these steps to connect your GRP2670:
- Connect the handset to the phone base using the telephone cord.
- Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the phone's power port and then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet. (If using a PoE switch, this step can be skipped).
Network Connection
Network connection can be established via two methods:
- Via Ethernet: Connect the phone's LAN port to the RJ-45 port of a hub, switch, or router using an Ethernet cable.
- Via Wi-Fi: Navigate to
System
→WiFi Settings
on the LCD. SelectScan
to automatically search for available networks. Choose your desired network and enter the password if prompted.
- The LCD will display provisioning or update information. Wait for the date/time to appear before proceeding.
- You can configure the phone using either a static IP address or DHCP via the phone's web interface or keypad menu.
Phone Configuration
Via Web Browser
- Ensure the phone is powered on and connected to the internet.
- Press and hold the
UP
(⬆️) button for 3 seconds to display the IP address. - Enter the phone's IP address into your web browser's address bar.
- Enter the administrator username and password to access the configuration menu. (Default username is
admin
; the default random password can be found on the sticker on the back of the unit).
Via Keypad
- Ensure the phone is idle.
- Press the
MENU
(☰) button to access the keypad menu for phone configuration. - Navigate to
MENU
→Phone
→SIP Account
to configure SIP Proxy, Outbound Proxy, SIP User ID, SIP Auth ID, and SIP Password settings. - Follow the
MENU
options to configure basic phone settings, such as setting a static IP address. Refer to the GRP2670 User Manual for detailed information. - Contact your Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) for any additional settings that may be necessary for phone configuration.
Emergency Services Disclaimer
The GRP2670 is not pre-configured to support or make emergency calls to any type of hospital, law enforcement agency, medical assistance unit ("Emergency Services"), or any other emergency service. Additional arrangements must be made to access emergency services. It is your sole responsibility to acquire SIP-compliant internet telephony services, correctly configure the GRP2670 to use such service, and periodically test the configuration to ensure it functions properly. Failure to do so makes it your responsibility to acquire traditional landline or wireless telephone services to access emergency services.
Grandstream does not provide connections to EMERGENCY SERVICES through the GRP2670. Neither Grandstream nor its representatives, employees, or affiliates can be held liable for any claims, damages, or losses, and you hereby waive any and all claims or causes of action arising from or related to your inability to use the GRP2670 for calls to EMERGENCY SERVICES and for not making supplementary arrangements to access EMERGENCY SERVICES as described above.
Regulatory Information
Common Part / RF Exposure
This equipment complies with radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.

U.S. FCC Part 68 Regulatory Information
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. Located on the equipment is a label that contains, among other information, the ACTA registration number and ringer equivalence number (REN). If requested, this information must be provided to the telephone company.
The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices which may be connected to the telephone line. Excessive RENs on the telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the RENs should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to the line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the telephone company to determine the maximum REN for the calling area.
This equipment cannot be used on the telephone company-provided coin service. Connection to Party Line Service is subject to State Tariffs.
If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice isn't practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications in order to maintain uninterrupted service.
If the trouble is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request you to remove the equipment from the network until the problem is resolved.
This equipment uses the following USOC jacks: RJ45C. It is recommended that the customer install an AC surge arrester in the AC outlet to which this device is connected. This is to avoid damaging the equipment caused by local lightening strikes and other electrical surges.

U.S. FCC Part 15 Regulatory Information
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

The device for operation in the band 5150–5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce the potential for harmful interference to co-channel mobile satellite systems.

Terminal equipment
This product meets the applicable Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada technical specifications.
The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) indicates the maximum number of devices allowed to be connected to a telephone interface. The termination of an interface may consist of any combination of devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the RENs of all the devices not exceed five.
