How to Use

Body Temperature Measurement

  1. Turn on the device using the ON/OFF button.
  2. Use the selector switch to set the device to body temperature mode. Select the appropriate measurement site (mouth [oral], armpit [axillary], or anus [rectal]) using the START button. The selected symbol will flash.
  3. Wait for the blinking °C symbol, indicating the device is ready.
  4. Point the sensor towards the forehead, about 5 cm away. Ensure the forehead is clean and free of hair or sweat for accurate readings.
  5. Press and hold the START button. The device will emit signals during measurement.
  6. Release the START button when the measurement is complete (indicated by a final signal).
  7. The measured temperature is displayed. A green background indicates a normal temperature, while a red background and multiple beeps signal a fever.
  8. Note: Forehead temperature may differ from core body temperature. For critical measurements, consider alternative methods or re-measurement after 15 minutes.

Object Temperature Measurement

  1. Use the selector switch to set the device to object temperature mode.
  2. Point the sensor towards the object, about 5 cm away. Ensure the surface is clean.
  3. Press and hold the START button.
  4. Release the START button when the measurement is complete. The measured temperature is displayed.

Recalling Measurements

To recall stored measurements, press the START button without turning on the device. The memory indicator 'M' will flash. Press START again to cycle through the saved measurements (up to 30).

Error Messages

  • H: Measured temperature is too high (Body > 42.2°C, Object > 100°C).
  • L: Measured temperature is too low (Body < 34°C, Object < 0°C).
  • High Ambient Temperature: Object measurement environment is too hot (> 40°C).
  • Low Ambient Temperature: Object measurement environment is too cold (< 5°C for objects, < 16°C for body).
  • Err: General display error; 3 short beeps.
  • Empty Display: Check battery installation.
  • Low Battery Indicator: Replace batteries.
