Product Overview
The AL5958Q is a 48-channel constant current source LED driver featuring 16 built-in NMOS scan switches, designed for automotive matrix display and illumination applications. Its advanced features enhance safety, personalization, and aesthetics in new vehicle platforms.
The integrated intelligent matrix display command functions significantly reduce the processing load on the local microcontroller. Key system performance features include automatic black-frame insertion to mitigate blur, open-LED fail line detection, and staggered current output delay to minimize inrush current.
With high 16-bit resolution dimming and RGB support, the AL5958Q offers precise brightness control and color mixing. Its multiplex-pulse density modulation (M-PDM) technology improves dynamic scanning refresh rates without increasing EMI-generating clock frequencies.
The device is available in the wettable W-QFN9090-76/SWP package. A standard compliance version, AL5958, is also available for industrial and commercial applications.
