Control Console

Welcome

Welcome to the Bodet Scorepad. This manual provides instructions for using the Scorepad control console for Rugby matches.

The Bodet Scorepad is a sophisticated control console designed for sports scoring. It features a prominent touchscreen display, surrounded by a black casing with yellow accents. Key controls include START and STOP buttons, a central screen displaying game information, and various function buttons.

Rugby Mode

Configuration Selection

To begin, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Rugby sport mode.
  2. Choose a configuration from the list: RUGBY NATIONAL, RUGBY 2, or RUGBY 3.

Configurations marked with a lock icon ? can only be edited using the club access code. The default club access code is "1234" and can be changed in the "Club access" menu.

Screen Layout (Rugby National)

The screen in RUGBY National mode displays the following key elements:

  • Team A / HOME: Displays team name and score.
  • Team B / GUEST: Displays team name and score.
  • Game Clock: Shows current time, period, and period number (e.g., 0:00, Period 1/2).
  • Control Buttons: Numbered buttons (1-12) correspond to specific game functions.

Interactive Game Functions

Pressing a game setting brings up a new window allowing you to:

  1. Edit Period Length: Set the duration of each period. A buzzer can sound at the end of each period and upon timer reset.
  2. Edit Team Colours: Select team shirt and game marking colours. Standard colours are available, along with a palette for custom selections.
  3. Edit Team Names: After pressing LOCALS or VISITORS, press "Config. team" to edit team configurations. This includes team screen name, player activation, colour choices, loading existing teams, or creating/deleting teams.
  4. Add Cards: Assign a red card or yellow card to a player.
  5. Add/Delete Goals: Manually add or remove a goal.
  6. Add Points: Record points for different scoring events: Try (+5), Penalty Kick (+3), Drop Goal (+3), Conversion Kick (+2). Also includes bonus points (HOME/GUEST Try Bonus, HOME/GUEST Losing Bonus).
  7. Start Time-Out: Initiate a time-out period.
  8. Edit Configuration Settings: Access detailed settings (refer to the Configuration Settings section).
  9. Display Messages: Show messages outside of game periods.
  10. Reverse Team Direction: Change the display orientation of teams on the HDMI output and Scorepad.
  11. Next Period: Advance to the next period of the match.
  12. New Match: Start a new match. Caution: The current match in progress will be lost.

Entering Configuration Settings

Overview

To edit a configuration, click on the desired setting. The list of editable settings is provided below. Note: All these settings are accessible from the "Advanced Settings" menu.
