Bodet Scorepad - Quick Start Guide

1. Starting/Stopping the Pupitre

Press ▶️ [Start] to start the pupitre. The pupitre will display the Bodet logo, then the home screen for sport selection.

Press ⏹️ [Stop] to stop the pupitre, or long press ▶️ [Start] until the pupitre stops.

2. Choosing the Sport

Press the icon for the desired sport. Swipe horizontally or press ➡️ [View All] to see all sports. The last sport played is displayed first and highlighted.

3. Choosing, Modifying, or Creating a Sport Configuration

Select the configuration corresponding to the desired match. View the settings for each configuration.

Some configurations cannot be modified without a club access code: ? [Club Access Icon].

Create a configuration by pressing ✨ [New Configuration].

4. Starting the Match

▶️ [Start]: start the chronometer | ⏹️ [Stop]: stop the chronometer | ↩️ [Correct Last Action]: correct the last game action on the pupitre | ? [Klaxon]: trigger or stop the klaxon.

The parameters displayed on screen are specific to each sport:

Basketball Display Example: Shows team names (LOCAUX, VISITEUR), scores (e.g., 10-12), periods (e.g., Période 1/2), points per period (e.g., 4, 3), and fouls/penalties (e.g., +1, +3).

Tennis Display Example: Shows scores (e.g., 0-0), sets (e.g., Set 1/2), and game points.

Football Display Example: Shows time (e.g., 90:00), scores (e.g., 2-0), and periods (e.g., Mi-temps).

  1. Choose the team jersey color and markings.
  2. Choose the team or player name, with the option to configure the team or player (See Section 5. Configuring Teams/Players).
  3. Add or remove a foul, penalty, or card.
  4. Add a timeout with the option to correct and activate the klaxon.
  5. Manually add or remove points from the score (add or remove 1 or more points depending on the sport).
  6. Add 1, 2, or 3 points (depending on the sport).
  7. Modify all match parameters (See illustration opposite).
  8. Start a new match.
  9. Display and correct the period and chronometer.
  10. For a player or team, add or correct cards and points.

5. Configuring Teams/Players

Press the name of a team or player (See: illustration 1). Modify the name if necessary.

Press ⚙️ [Team Config] (See: illustration 2).

Configuration Steps:

  • 1. Choose the team or player name displayed on the pupitre. Pressing opens a new window (See: illustration 3).
  • 2. Choose the team or player name displayed on the video display support.
  • 3. Select players for the match.
  • 4. Choose the jersey color and markings (See: illustration 4).

Team/Player Name Configuration: Shows a keyboard layout for entering names and options to select teams/players.

Team/Player Color Configuration: Shows options to select jersey color and marking color.

6. Electrical Connections

The back of the device shows several ports labeled 1 through 9.

  • 1. USB-A Port: Load data (match configuration, player/team lists, partner logos...) from a USB drive.
  • 2. Unused.
  • 3. Unused.
  • 4. HDMI Port: Connect to a TV display.
  • 5. Mini DIN Port with locking: BODET sports data bus for a Bodet scoreboard.
  • 6. Two RJ12 Ports: Connect auxiliary pupitres (possession pupitre, Start/Stop button...).
  • 7. Jack Port: Power and battery charging.
  • 8. Green LED: Indicates mains power presence.
  • 9. RESET Button: Turn off the pupitre.
