To Operate
Follow these steps to operate the staple gun:
- Hold the staple gun upside down and release the loading latch. Pull the slide open. (Refer to Figure 1).
- Insert a stick of staples into the bottom channel with the legs pointing up. For narrow flat crown, cable, brads, and pins, place them only on the left side. Push the slide closed, ensuring the latch engages. (Refer to Figure 2).
- For brads, ensure nail heads point down. For pins, ensure the flat end points down and the sharp tip points up. Push the slide closed, ensuring the latch engages. (Refer to Figure 3).
- Place the staple exit area on the material where the staple is to be driven. Grasp the tacker and depress the handle until the mechanism releases and drives the staple. For best results, apply downward pressure to keep the exit area firmly against the material.
To Clear or Unload
Open the channel as when loading. Remove any jammed staples or unload the staple stick. Close the channel as when loading.
To Lock Handle Down for Storage
Ensure the staple gun is unloaded. Hold the handle down, pull backward to engage the handle lock (See Figure 4). Push the handle forward to release the grip (See Figure 5).
