07 FAQS
For more detailed FAQs, log in to the APP and search in "Me"-"FAQ"-"Help Document"-"Battery Camera".
The device prompts offline?
- Check if the equipment is powered on and the working light is normal.
- Confirm good Wi-Fi coverage and a stable network (signal above 75%).
- Use a third-party "wifi analyzer" tool to check signal coverage and interference. If poor, consider repositioning the camera or router.
- Avoid using Wi-Fi extenders.
Update router or Wi-Fi password?
Delete the camera from your CloudEdge account. Reset the device, then add it again using the new Wi-Fi credentials.
Will not connect to WiFi?
- Ensure connection to a 2.4GHz network with good coverage and signal strength (above 75%).
- Avoid using Wi-Fi extenders.
- Verify the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
- In rare cases of network incompatibility, contact after-sales service at service@iegeek.com.
Fast power consumption?
- Poor Wi-Fi coverage (signal below 75%) increases power consumption.
- High PIR trigger frequency and infrared/white light usage at night increase power consumption.
- Frequent remote access by the mobile phone increases power consumption.
- For the first use, charge the battery from 10% to 100% for optimal lithium battery health.
Camera not detecting movement?
- In case of unstable network, messages may be delayed. Verify network status and test the camera in an environment with good network coverage.
- Inappropriate installation position can lead to PIR not triggering. Adjust the installation position according to trigger requirements.
SD card not recognized?
- The camera supports 16-128GB micro SD cards.
- Format the micro SD card to FAT32 or exFAT on a computer before inserting it into the camera. Format the memory card again on the camera.
- If the micro SD card is not recognized, it may be a quality issue. Replace the memory card with one offering more stable reading and writing.
