DigiTech Mosaic 12 String Effect
Owner's Manual
Model: MOSAIC
Introduction
The DigiTech Mosaic is a 12-string effect pedal designed to create a shimmering chord effect reminiscent of a 12-string guitar. It is versatile, suitable for use with both acoustic and electric instruments. Featuring true bypass, the Mosaic ensures your natural guitar tone remains unaffected when the effect is disengaged.
The pedal offers two primary controls:
- LEVEL Control: Adjusts the mix level of the 12-string effect blended with your dry signal.
- TONE Control: Enhances the high frequencies of the effect signal.
To operate the Mosaic, engage the effect using the footswitch (indicated by the LED). Adjust the LEVEL knob to set the desired amount of effect and the TONE knob to fine-tune the treble response. For a thinner sound, reduce the LEVEL and increase the TONE. For chord playing, a LEVEL setting around 9 o'clock is recommended. For arpeggiated passages, a LEVEL setting around 12 o'clock works well.

Example Settings
Begin by experimenting with these suggested settings:
- Thickener: (Refer to diagram for LEVEL and TONE knob positions)
- Arpeggio w/Electric Guitar: (Refer to diagram for LEVEL and TONE knob positions)
- Chords w/Acoustic Guitar: (Refer to diagram for LEVEL and TONE knob positions)
Connections and Power
Connecting the DigiTech Mosaic to your audio setup:
- First, mute your amplifier's volume control.
- Make all necessary audio connections to the Mosaic as depicted in the connection diagram.
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the pedal's POWER input and plug the adapter into a suitable AC outlet.
- Strum your guitar and gradually increase the amplifier's master volume control until the desired listening level is achieved.
Connection Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates a typical setup: a guitar connects to the Mosaic's input jack. The Mosaic's output jack connects to an amplifier's input or the next pedal in a chain. The power adapter connects to the pedal's power input. The diagram specifies using unbalanced TS instrument cables only and notes that the Mosaic should ideally be placed as the first pedal in an effects chain to ensure optimal performance, particularly for pitch-shifting effects.
