Getting Started

1 What's in the box
Contents of the box include:
- Scanner unit
- Power adapter
- USB cable
- CD-ROM with software and manual
- Quick start guide

2 Install the scanner
Place the scanner on a flat, stable surface.

3 Connect to Power
Connect the power adapter to the scanner and then plug it into a power outlet.

4 Install the Scanner Driver first and then the Button Manager V2
Install the scanner driver and the Button Manager V2 software. You have the following options:
- Install Scanner Driver
- Install Button Manager V2
- Install Virtual Scanner Link
- View Manuals

5 Connect to Computer
Connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable.

6 Place a document (flatbed)
Place the document face down on the scanner's flatbed.

7 Load a Document
Load documents into the automatic document feeder (ADF).

8 Start a Scan
Press the scan button to begin scanning. The scanned document will appear on your computer.

9 Clear a PaperJam
If a paper jam occurs, follow the on-screen instructions or refer to the user's manual to clear the jam.

10 View User's Manual
