8BitDo Micro Bluetooth Gamepad - Instruction Manual

Overview

This manual provides instructions for using the 8BitDo Micro Bluetooth Gamepad with various devices, including Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC.

Device Layout

The gamepad features a D-pad, directional buttons, L2 and R2 shoulder buttons, L and R shoulder buttons, a select button, a start button, and a home button.

Power/Status LED: Indicates the gamepad's power and connection status.

Basic Operations

• Power On: Press the [HOME] button.
• Power Off: Press and hold the [HOME] button for 3 seconds.
• Force Shutdown: Press and hold the [HOME] button for 8 seconds.

Switch Connection

Requirements: Switch system version 3.0.0 or above. Note: Motion controls, NFC scanning, IR camera, rumble, notification LED, player status LED, and system wake-up are not supported.

Bluetooth Connection

1. Set the mode switch to [S].
2. Press [HOME] to turn on the gamepad.
3. Hold the [Pair] button for 1 second until the LED blinks rapidly to enter pairing mode (required for the first connection only).
4. On your Switch, go to Controllers > Change Grip/Order and wait for the connection.
5. The LED will be solid when the connection is successful.

Wired Connection

Ensure 'Pro Controller Wired Communication' is enabled in System Settings > Controllers and Sensors.

1. Set the mode switch to [S].
2. Connect the gamepad to your Switch dock via USB cable.
3. Wait for the system to recognize the gamepad.

Android Connection

Requirements: Android system version 9.0 or above.

Bluetooth Connection

1. Set the mode switch to [D].
2. Press [HOME] to turn on the gamepad.
3. Hold the [Pair] button for 1 second until the LED blinks rapidly to enter pairing mode (required for the first connection only).
4. On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings and pair with [8BitDo Micro gamepad].
5. The LED will be solid when the connection is successful.

Wired Connection

1. Set the mode switch to [D].
2. Connect the gamepad to your Android device via USB cable.
3. Wait for the system to recognize the gamepad.

Keyboard Mode Connection

1. Set the mode switch to [K].
2. Press [HOME] to turn on the gamepad.

4. On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and pair with [8BitDo Micro gamepad].
5. The LED will be solid when the connection is successful.

Battery Information

The gamepad has a built-in 180mAh rechargeable battery, providing approximately 12 hours of playtime. Charging takes about 1 to 2 hours.

LED Indicator Status

• Charging: Red LED stays solid.
• Low Battery: Red LED blinks.
• Fully Charged: Red LED turns off.
