Dimensions
This section details the physical dimensions of the DP C10.UART display and its controller.
Display Unit:
- Width: 60 mm

The display unit is designed to mount on handlebars with diameters compatible with Ø22.2, Ø25.4, and Ø31.8 mm.
Fonctions (Functions)
The BAFANG DP C10.UART display offers a range of functionalities:
- Bidirectional communication protocol with a 5-button controller.
- Speed display: shows current speed, total mileage, maximum speed, and average speed.
- Unit selection: Kilometers (km) or Miles (mile) can be chosen by the user.
- Battery indication: Displays the remaining battery charge. It also indicates high consumption during steep climbs.
- Automatic light sensor: Front, rear, and screen lighting activate automatically based on ambient light conditions.
- Backlight adjustment: 5 levels of brightness for the display backlight.
- Support levels: 5 levels of pedal assistance, with level 0 indicating no assistance (WALK mode).
- Distance tracking: Displays total distance and daily trip distance, with a maximum total of 99999 km.
- Intelligent display: Shows motor power (W), remaining range, and estimated calories burned (C).
- Error code display: Shows specific codes when faults are detected.
- Walk function: Allows the user to push the bike at a maximum speed of 5 km/h.
- Maintenance indication: Provides reminders for scheduled maintenance.
- USB Port: Allows charging of connected devices (5V, 500mA max).

The display screen shows various information, identified by numbered elements:
- Battery level indicator
- Service/Maintenance indicator
- Speed display (e.g., 88.8 km/h)
- Trip, Total, Max, Avg, To Go distance indicators (e.g., 88888)
- Unit indicators (km/h, mile/h, Wh/km, V/cell)
- Assistance level indicator (1-5, WALK)

The display can show:
- Speed Mode: Average (AVG km/h) and Maximum (MAXS km/h).
- Speed Display: Current speed in km/h or mph.
- Battery: Indicated by 10 segments.
- Lighting: Shows if the lights are on.
- Error Message: An error symbol appears if a fault is detected.
- Maintenance: A key symbol [key-symbol] appears when maintenance is due.
- Support: Displays the selected assistance level (1-5) or WALK mode.
- Distance Modes: Maximum speed (MXA), Average speed (AVG), Trip distance, Total distance (TOTAL), remaining distance (TO GO), motor power (W), and calories burned (C).
- Remaining Distance: Varies based on the selected assistance level.
Boutons et Fonctionnement (Buttons and Operation)
The controller unit features the following buttons:
- Up button [+]: Increases assistance level or navigates up.
- Down button [-]: Decreases assistance level or navigates down.
- Headlight button [light-icon]: Controls the front and rear lights.
- Switch button [power-icon]: Turns the display ON/OFF.
- Mode button [i-icon]: Accesses menus and cycles through display information.
Operation
ON/OFF: Press and hold the power button [power-icon] for 2 seconds to turn the display on. The display will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Assistance Levels
Use the [+] and [-] buttons to select the desired assistance level, ranging from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Levels 1 and 2 are the most economical in terms of power consumption. Consumption increases significantly from level 3 upwards.

Navigating Between Screens
Briefly press the 'i' button [i-icon] to cycle through the available display screens. These include:
- Daily trip distance (TRIP km)
- Total distance (TOTAL km)
- Maximum speed (MAXS km/h)
- Average speed (AVG km/h)
- Remaining range (RANGE)
- Energy consumption (C)
Lighting Control
Press and hold the headlight button [light-icon] for 2 seconds to turn the front and rear lights on, which also activates the screen backlight. Press and hold the headlight button [light-icon] again for 2 seconds to turn the lights off.
There are 5 levels to adjust the backlight intensity. The lighting and backlight automatically activate in low-light conditions and at night.

Walk Assistance
Press and hold the '<' button (Down button [-]) for 2 seconds to engage WALK mode. The bike will move forward at a maximum speed of 5 km/h. The WALK function will stop when the '<' button is released.

- Display shows 4.5 km/h, TRIP 68.2 km, Assistance level 1 (WALK mode).
Battery Status and USB Port
The battery level is indicated by LCD segments on the display. When the battery is low (e.g., 10 segments disappeared and the border flashes), the battery needs immediate charging.

USB Port: When the screen is off, connect a USB cable to the port to indicate charging. When the screen is on, connect the USB cable to the port to begin charging. The maximum charging voltage is 5V, and the maximum charging current is 500mA.

The display offers various settings:
- Day counter (Trip)
- Km/Mile selection
- Light sensor
- Backlight adjustment

- Battery information (not applicable)
Adjusting Settings
- To enter the configuration menu, press the 'i' button [i-icon] twice. To exit, press it twice again.
- The menu will automatically exit after 10 seconds of inactivity.
- Use the [+] or [-] buttons to adjust parameters.
- To reset the day counter (Trip): Double-click the 'i' button [i-icon]. 'tc (clear clear)' will appear. Select 'y' using the [+] button, then double-click the 'i' button [i-icon] again.
Km/Mile Selection
If 'S7' appears on the display, you can choose between km/h or mile/h using the [+] and [-] buttons. The default setting is km/h.
Light Sensitivity
If 'bLO' appears on the display, you can adjust the light sensor sensitivity using the [+] and [-] buttons. Options range from 0 (low sensitivity) to 5 (high sensitivity).
Backlight Adjustment
If 'bl1' appears on the display, you can adjust the backlight intensity using the [+] or [-] buttons. Options range from 0 (dim) to 5 (bright).
Maintenance Warning
If 'nnA' appears on the display, you can enable or disable the maintenance mode using the [+] and [-] buttons. Choose 1 for enabled and 0 for disabled. This feature can be deactivated.
The maintenance display considers kilometers traveled and battery status. The "service" symbol [service-symbol] appears after 5000 kilometers. If the display is on, it will blink for 4 seconds to alert you about upcoming maintenance.
Automatic Shutdown
If 'OFF' appears on the display, you can set the automatic shutdown time between 1 and 9 minutes using the [+] and [-] buttons.
Codes d'erreur (Error Codes)
The DP C10.UART display can show e-bike faults. When a fault is detected, an icon is displayed, and one of the following error codes will appear in the speed field:
