  2. With the camera facing open, slide the battery compartment cover latch to the left to open it.
  3. Insert AA batteries, ensuring the positive ends face towards the marked positive terminals and negative ends face towards the marked negative terminals.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover, pulling the latch slightly to the left to secure it.
  5. Load an SD memory card (up to 32GB) into the SD card slot with the connectors facing upwards.

Note: Do not mix old and new batteries, or alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), and rechargeable (Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.

Power

To Turn ON: Press and release the power button.

To Turn OFF: First, wake the LCD screen by pressing the power button briefly. Then, press and hold the power button until the LCD turns off.

After installation, check the battery level icon on the LCD to ensure proper charge. The camera enters Power Save or Ready Mode automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity, turning off the LCD.

The LCD screen can be awakened by pressing the power button briefly.

Test Mode

In Test Mode, the camera operates as follows:

  • LCD Ready Mode: The camera automatically enters Ready Mode if no button is pressed for over 30 seconds.
  • LED Status Light:
    • During the first 30 seconds of LCD Ready Mode, the red light illuminates when a PIR event is triggered.
    • After the LCD turns off, the red light blinks for 2-3 seconds when a photo is taken.
    • After 2 minutes of inactivity, all indicator lights turn off until a button is pressed.

  2. Stretch the cords around the tree and latch the other ends through the mounting holes on the opposite side.

Important Mounting Tips:

  • Recommended distance: 25-30 feet from the target area for optimal image quality.
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Do not mount the unit facing the rising or setting sun to prevent glare on the lens.
  • Cleanliness: Regularly clean the camera lens cover, flash cover, and PIR sensor cover, especially in dusty environments or when mounted on a feeder.
  • Security: Periodically check the mounting to ensure it is secure.
  • Moisture Seal: Always ensure the camera door is securely latched to activate the moisture seal.
  • Battery Care: Check batteries frequently to prevent corrosive build-up, which can damage the camera. Use good quality batteries.

Retrieving Images (SD Card Reader)

To view images stored on the SD card:

  1. Ensure the camera is powered OFF.
  2. Remove the SD card from the camera by pressing it until it ejects.
  3. Insert the SD card into an SD card reader connected to your computer.
  4. Your computer should display options such as "Import pictures," "View pictures," "Copy Disc," or "Open folder to view files."
  5. Select the desired option. If the AutoPlay window does not appear, navigate to "Computer" (or "My Computer" on older Windows versions) and select the removable disk representing the SD card.
  6. Images are typically located in the "MEDIA" folder on the SD card.
  7. Select individual image files to view them using your computer's default image viewer.
  8. To delete an image, right-click on the file and select "Delete." Be certain before deleting, as it is permanent.
