Dust-proof Cover Replacement

The camera case is supplied with two protective covers: one is waterproof, and the other is dust-proof. The dust-proof cover does NOT protect the camera from water ingress.

  • The waterproof protective cover is for underwater, beach, dust, and other adverse environments.
  • The dust-proof protective cover protects the camera against dust, enhances sound quality, and reduces wind noise during activities like riding or jogging.

Replacement Steps:

  1. Find the slot on the waterproof case as indicated by the red circled place in Step 1.
  2. Hold the case with your hands as shown in Step 2 picture, face the slot on the case front, and tear the waterproof back cover off.
  3. Find the dust-proof back cover in your accessories. It has two inter-spaces on the left and right side. Insert the lower half of the cover into the slot, then push the upper half into the slot as indicated in Step 4 until the whole back cover is totally installed.

Battery Charging and Installation

The battery and the camera are packaged separately. Ensure the battery is charged before inserting it into the camera and turning it on.

A. Battery Charging

  • The dual USB battery charger is not included in the camera's accessories and may need to be purchased separately. Alternatively, you can charge the battery within the camera using the USB cable.
  • Connect the charger with a USB cable to a power plug or computer. Charging via a computer may be slower due to lower power output from USB ports.
  • Charging indicator: When the charger is on, a red light indicates charging. The light turns blue when the batteries are fully charged. When charging the camera directly, a red light appears and disappears when the battery is fully charged.
  • Normal full charging time is about 3.5 hours. Do not overcharge the battery.

B. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the camera. Open the battery cover by using your right thumb's fingernail to push the switch to the right (arrow 1). Then, lift the battery cover with your left thumb's fingernails (arrow 2).
  2. After inserting the battery, install the battery cover. The extended part of the battery cover should be inserted into the left side of the battery compartment first. Then, press the right half of the battery cover down into the battery compartment. Please notice the direction of the battery and battery cover.

SD Card Insertion and Formatting

A. SD Card Insertion and Out

  • Find the Micro SD card slot in the camera and insert the card into the camera following the indicated direction, then push it inside.
  • To remove the SD card: Press down the SD card until you hear an insertion sound; then the SD card will pop out with a pop sound.

B. SD Card Formatting

  1. Insert the SD card, turn off the camera, and then turn it on.
  2. Press any button, and the camera will display "Please insert SD Card". Press the power button 3-4 times to enter the menu mode.
  3. Find the "Format" setting item, select "SD card", and press the OK button to complete the format.

The camera supports regular brand SD cards, Class 10 or above, with capacities from 8GB to 64GB. Please ensure the quality of the SD card. You must format the SD card on the camera before using it.
