Product Overview
This manual provides instructions for the SHARP PS-931 / PS-932 XParty Sing Party Speaker.
Important Safety Precautions
Please read all safety precautions and warnings carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
Information Symbol: This symbol informs the user to consult the user manual for additional information regarding safety, operation, and maintenance.
High Voltage Symbol: This symbol indicates the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product that may be sufficient to cause electric shock.
AC Symbol: This symbol indicates that the rated voltage marked with it is AC voltage.
Class II Equipment Symbol: This symbol indicates that the product described has a double insulation system and does not require a safety connection to earth.
Warnings
- Damage: After unpacking, check if the device is damaged. If any damage occurs, do not use the device and contact your seller.
- Power Connection and Accessibility: Do not touch the power cord with wet hands, as this could cause electric shock. If the power cord plug does not fit your electrical socket, do not force it. Before unplugging the power cord from the electrical socket, completely turn off the device's power. If you are not using the device for a long time, unplug the power cord from the electrical socket. Ensure the plug is always easily accessible. Do not connect the device to extension cords.
- Power Source: Ensure the device is connected to an electrical socket rated 100-240V~, 50/60Hz. Using a higher voltage may cause malfunctions or even fire.
- Non-rewireable power cord plug with fuse (applies only to Great Britain, Malta, Cyprus, and Ireland): The power cord is equipped with a 3A fuse compliant with BS1362. If replacement is required, use a fuse with the same rated parameters.
- Power Cord Protection: Be careful not to damage the power cord: do not place heavy objects on it, do not stretch or bend it. Damage to the power cord can cause fire or electric shock. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced.
- Child Safety: Always observe basic safety precautions when using the device, especially in the presence of children. Supervise children so they do not play with the device.
Location
- When in use, place the device on a flat, stable surface; no part of the main device should overhang the edge of the surface.
Ventilation
- Slots and openings in the housing are for ventilation to ensure reliable operation and protection against overheating. Do not block or cover these openings. Leave 5 cm of free space around the device for adequate ventilation. Never allow anyone to insert anything into the openings, sockets, or other slots in the device housing, as this may cause electric shock.
Heat and Operating Temperature
- Do not place the device near heat sources, such as radiators, vents, ovens, or other devices (including amplifiers) that emit heat. Avoid direct sunlight.
Open Flames
- To prevent fire, keep candles and other open flames away from the device.
Thunderstorms
- Thunderstorms pose a danger to all electrical devices. In the event of a lightning strike, the device may be damaged, even if it is turned off. Before a thunderstorm, disconnect all cords and connectors from the device.
Maintenance
- Before cleaning, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the exterior of the housing. Never clean the housing with chemicals or detergents.
Service and Repairs
- This product has no user-serviceable parts. Exposing internal parts may pose a risk of electric shock. If a malfunction occurs, contact the manufacturer or an authorized service center. Warranty does not cover repairs by unauthorized third parties.
Warning: Epilepsy Precautions
- Before using the strobe light, check if people nearby are sensitive to fast flashing lights. If such people are present, do not use the strobe light. Some individuals with epilepsy and light sensitivity may experience an epileptic seizure if exposed to flashing or strobe lights.
Hearing Protection
The XParty Sing party speaker can generate excessive sound pressure levels (SPL) that may lead to permanent hearing loss or damage. Exercise caution to avoid prolonged exposure to excessive noise (>85dBA).
Built-in Lithium-ion Battery
- The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
- It can be recharged many times, but its capacity will eventually degrade.
- Disconnect the device from power if not in use.
- Disconnect the battery from the charger when fully charged – overcharging may shorten its lifespan.
- A fully charged battery, if unused, will discharge over time.
- Avoid storing the device in hot or cold places (e.g., a car in summer or winter) as it reduces battery performance and lifespan.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 32°C.
- For storage longer than six months, charge the battery to 50% every six months to maintain its performance. Store between 5°C and 20°C.
Battery Warnings
- Improper battery use may pose a risk of fire or chemical burns.
- Do not attempt to open the device to replace the battery – it is not designed for user replacement.
- Batteries may explode if damaged.
- Do not expose batteries to high temperatures or excessive heat.
- Do not drop or subject the device to strong impacts.
- Dispose of batteries properly according to instructions (see "Disposal of Unit and Batteries"). Do not incinerate or disassemble them, as this could cause leakage or explosion.
Disposal of Unit and Batteries
- This product has no user-serviceable parts.
- Electronic devices and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Contact your seller or local authorities for information on environmentally safe recycling.
- Only authorized Sharp service personnel can remove batteries for disposal according to local regulations.
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste or attempt to burn them, as they may explode.
Symbols:
- This symbol indicates the product contains batteries covered by European Directive 2013/56/EU, which must not be disposed of with regular household waste. Chemical symbols Cd, Hg, and Pb under the crossed-out bin symbol indicate the battery contains cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), or lead (Pb).
- This symbol on the device means the product is covered by European Directive 2012/19/EU and must not be disposed of with other household waste.
- These symbols on products, packaging, and/or accompanying documents mean that used electrical and electronic equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with other household waste.

Buttons and Indicators
(Refer to Diagram 1 on page 2)
- Power/Source: Long press to turn on/off. Short press to change audio source (Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB).
- EQ/Mic Effect: Toggle sound equalizer effect/microphone reverb effect.
- LED Effects: Press to cycle through different LED effects. Press again to turn off LED lights. Hold to turn strobe light on/off.
- Play/Pause/Pair: Play/pause/pair.
- Previous Track: Play previous track.
- Next Track: Play next track.
- Microphone Volume: Microphone volume control.
- Bass Boost/Duo Mode: Bass boost/Duo mode.

Input/Output Jacks

- USB Playback Port: USB port for playback.

Operating Instructions
Connecting the Speaker to Power/Charging
This speaker uses a built-in lithium-ion battery pack. Charge the battery before use by connecting the power cable and charging the speaker for at least three hours. Risk of product damage! Ensure the supply voltage matches the voltage printed on the back of the speaker. Connect the power cable to the speaker's AC power input, then insert the plug into the mains socket.
Turning On/Off
- To turn on the speaker, move the switch located on the back of the speaker to the ON position. The switch clicks into the ON position and returns to its original position for OFF. The speaker is now in standby mode.
- Press and hold the Power/Source button [Power] for 2 seconds to turn on the speaker.
- To return the speaker to standby mode, press and hold the Power/Source button [Power] for 3 seconds.
- To turn off the speaker, move the switch to the OFF position.
Master Volume Control
Rotate the Master Volume knob [Master Volume] to adjust the master volume level.
Connecting a Bluetooth Audio Device
- Turn on the speaker.
- Press the Power/Source button [Power] once or multiple times until 'bt' appears on the display to switch to Bluetooth mode. The speaker is now in pairing mode. During this time, '<bt>' will flash on the display, and you will hear an audio prompt.
- Activate your Bluetooth device and select search mode. "XParty PS-931" or "XParty PS-932" will appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.
- Upon successful connection, the speaker will give an audio prompt, and '<bt>' on the display will be solid.
You can control the playback and volume of the speaker from your external device. Available functions depend on your device and software.
Press and hold the Play/Pause/Pair button [Play/Pause/Pair] (for 3 seconds) to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection. An audio prompt will confirm this.
NOTE: The speaker will attempt to automatically connect to the last audio device it was connected to via Bluetooth. If this is not possible, it broadcasts its device ID, and '<bt>' will flash on the display.
Playing from USB
- Insert the USB device into the USB Playback port [USB Playback] on the back of the speaker.
- USB mode will be selected automatically.
- Press the Previous Track [Previous Track] or Next Track [Next Track] button to select the previous or next track.
NOTES: Supported file formats: MP3/WAV/FLAC. External hard drives are not supported. Supports USB devices up to 128GB.
AUX-IN
The speaker can be used to listen to audio from external devices.
- Connect an external audio device to the speaker using the 3.5 mm audio input [Aux Input].
- Press the Power/Source button [Power] until '<AUX>' appears on the LED display.
- Play and control music on the source audio device.
USB Charging
The speaker has a built-in 5V 1A charger for external USB devices:
- Connect the USB cable from the external USB device to the USB Charging Port [USB Charge].
- To charge the external USB device, the speaker must be powered on.
Connecting a Microphone
Before connecting a microphone to [Mic 1] or [Mic 2], ensure the master volume on the speaker is low.
- Insert the microphone cable into the [Mic 1] or [Mic 2] jack on the back of the speaker.
- Use the Microphone Volume knob [Mic Volume] to select the desired microphone volume level.
EQ / Super Bass / Duo Mode
EQ / Super Bass
- Short press the EQ/Mic Effect button [EQ/Mic Effect] to switch between equalizer effects: FLAT/POP/DANCE/ROCK/LIVE/CLUB.
- Hold the EQ/Mic Effect button [EQ/Mic Effect] to turn the microphone reverb effect on/off. The LED display will show '<rOFF>' or '<r-ON>'.
- Short press the Bass Boost/Duo Mode button [Bass Boost/Duo Mode] to boost the bass. Press again to turn it off. The button lights up when active.
Duo Mode: True Wireless Stereo (TWS)
This allows connecting two XParty Sing speakers as left and right stereo speakers. The first connected speaker is the master (LEFT CHANNEL), and the second is the slave (RIGHT CHANNEL).
To start pairing:
- Turn on both speakers. Ensure no existing Bluetooth connections.
- Press the Bass Boost/Duo Mode button [Bass Boost/Duo Mode] on the first speaker (intended as LEFT CHANNEL). It will announce "Pairing in Duo mode".
- Press the Bass Boost/Duo Mode button [Bass Boost/Duo Mode] on the second speaker (intended as RIGHT CHANNEL).
- The speakers will pair automatically. The master speaker will display '<bt-L>', and the slave speaker will display '<bt-r>'. An announcement "Duo mode connected" confirms pairing.
- In Duo mode, only the LEFT CHANNEL speaker connects to your Bluetooth device.
NOTES:
- If speakers are already paired, they will reconnect automatically on power-up.
- Only the LEFT CHANNEL's Bluetooth is available in Duo mode.
- Aux-in [Aux Input] on both speakers remains local.
- To disconnect from another speaker in Duo/TWS mode, press and hold the Bass Boost/Duo Mode button [Bass Boost/Duo Mode]. Press and hold again to restart Duo pairing.
