Safety Instructions

Read this manual carefully before use and retain it for future reference.

Warning Symbols:

• Warning Symbol (Exclamation Mark in Triangle): Indicates non-insulated voltage sources that can cause electric shock.
• Information Symbol (Letter 'i' in Circle): Provides important handling and maintenance information.
• High Temperature Symbol (Thermometer): Alerts users to be aware of high temperatures.
• Touch Symbol (Hand with a line): Advises users to avoid touching this part.

Transportation Instructions: It is recommended to transport this projector in its original or similar packaging.

Preventing Electric Shocks and Fire Hazards:

• Only use the provided genuine power adapter.
• Unplug the projector during thunderstorms or when not in use for extended periods to avoid damage from power surges or lightning strikes.
• Do not place flammable objects near the projector.
• Do not block any vents to prevent heat buildup and potential fire hazards.
• Do not block the lens when the projector is on, as objects near the lens can become very hot and cause fires.

Safety Precautions:

• Do not place the projector on unstable surfaces to prevent falls and injuries.
• Do not look directly into the lens when the projector is on to avoid eye damage.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the projector; it contains high-voltage components and should only be serviced by qualified technicians.
• Do not expose the projector to rain or moisture (operating humidity 20%-80%).
• Do not immerse the projector in water or other liquids. If liquid or an object enters the housing, unplug it immediately and have it checked by a technician.
• Avoid environments that are poorly ventilated, have strong magnetic fields, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or are near fire alarms.

Cautions regarding batteries:

• Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
• Improper disposal of batteries (e.g., in fire, hot oven, crushing, cutting) can cause explosions.
• Batteries left in high-temperature environments or subjected to extremely low air pressure may explode or leak flammable liquids/gases.

Product Overview

The Xiaomi Smart Projector L1 features:

• Projector Lens
• Camera
• Speaker
• Rubber Feet
• Power Button (Press to turn on the projector)
• Nut Hole for Mounting Bracket (1/4 inch, depth < 8 mm)
• Ports: Headphone Port, HDMI Signal Input Port, USB 2.0 Protocol Port, DC IN / DC Port
• Air Inlet and Air Outlet

Cautions:

• Do not look directly into the projection lens to avoid eye damage.
• Keep the area around the air inlet and outlet clear (at least 20 cm) to ensure proper heat dissipation.
• For mounting, use a compatible bracket with 1/4 inch screws, less than 8 mm in length.
• Retain original packaging for future storage or transportation.

Remote Control

The remote control includes:

• Power Button: Turn on or off the projector.
• Google Assistant: Ask Google Assistant for movies, apps, music, and projector control.
• Navigation Buttons: Move up, down, left, or right.
• Confirm Button: Press to confirm.
• Back Button: Return to the previous screen.
• Home Button: Return to the home screen.
• Settings Button: Open the control panel.
• Netflix Button: Access the Netflix app.
• YouTube Button: Access the YouTube app.
• Volume Buttons: Volume up (+) and Volume down (-).

Notes:

• Use the remote within 5 meters of the projector.
• Ensure correct battery polarity when inserting batteries.
• Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
• The dented part is the confirm button; the surrounding ring buttons are navigation buttons.
• The two buttons above the navigation ring are Power and Google Assistant.
• The first row below navigation includes Back, Home, and Settings buttons.
• The second row includes Netflix and YouTube buttons.
• The third row has volume buttons.

How to Use

Remote Control Pairing

Turning On: Connect the projector to power and press the power button on the projector or remote.

Turning Off: Press the power button to bring up the power menu and select the option.

Pairing:

1. Ensure the remote has batteries and the projector is on.
2. Place the remote control within 20 cm of the projector.
3. Press and hold the Back button (←) and Home button (?) simultaneously for 3 seconds to initiate pairing.
4. The screen will indicate successful pairing.

Adjusting Image Focus

Auto Focus

• Auto focus is enabled by default. It triggers automatically when the projector is moved.
• Alternatively, navigate to Settings > Projector > Focus > Execute Focus.
• Enable or disable auto focus via Settings > Projector > Focus > Auto Focus.

Manual Focus

• Navigate to Settings > Projector > Focus > Manual Focus.
• Use the left and right buttons on the remote to adjust focus manually.
• After auto focus, press the Confirm button to enter manual focus for fine-tuning.

Image Correction

Auto Keystone Correction

• Auto keystone correction is enabled by default and applies automatically when the projector is moved.
• Alternatively, navigate to Settings > Projector > Keystone > Execute auto keystone correction.
• Enable or disable auto keystone correction via Settings > Projector > Keystone.

Manual Keystone Correction

• Navigate to Settings > Projector > Keystone > Manual keystone correction.
• Use the remote control to adjust image corners for correction.
• Press the Confirm button to edit and the Back button to exit.
• A reset option is available.
• After auto keystone correction, press the Confirm button to enter manual keystone correction for fine-tuning.

Auto Obstacle Avoidance & Screen Alignment

Auto Obstacle Avoidance

• Enabled by default. Detects and avoids obstacles in the projected area for an unobstructed image. Image may zoom out based on obstacle size and position.
• Enable/disable via Settings > Projector > Keystone > EasyView.

Auto Screen Alignment

• Enabled by default. Detects the screen and aligns the image with its edges during auto image correction.
• Enable/disable via Settings > Projector > Keystone > EasyFit.

Projection Distance & Screen Dimensions

Determine the distance between the projector and screen based on desired screen size.

• This device is restricted to indoor use when operating in the 5150 to 5350 MHz band.
