4K Wireless Digital Box Installation Guide
What's in the box?
- 4K Wireless Digital Box
- Power supply
- Breakout cable
Step 1: Unplug cables connected to existing HD Digital Box
Remove all cables from your current HD Digital Box.

Step 2: Determine your existing video cable connection
Identify how your current HD Digital Box is connected to the TV. Common connections include HDMI or Component/Composite cables.
TIP: Take a picture of your current HD Digital Box cables to help set up your new 4K Wireless Digital Box.

Step 3: HDMI video connection
Use an existing HDMI cable to connect the 4K Wireless Digital Box to the HDMI input on your TV.

Step 4: Component/composite video connection
Use the provided breakout cable to connect your existing component or composite cables to the 4K Wireless Digital Box.

[Go to Step 5]
Step 5: Connect to power
IMPORTANT: Only use the new power supply provided with the 4K Wireless Digital Box to connect it to a power outlet. Do not use an existing power supply.

Step 6: Determine your network connection
Choose your preferred network connection method: an Ethernet cable connection or a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.

[Go to Step 7] for Ethernet
[Go to Step 9] for Wireless
Step 7: Ethernet network connection
Connect the existing Ethernet cable from your modem or wall jack to the Ethernet port on the 4K Wireless Digital Box.

Step 8: Nice work, you're all done!
Turn on your TV and follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.
NOTE: If you do not see on-screen instructions, use your TV remote to change the TV to the correct input or source.

Step 9: Wireless network connection
Press the OK button on your Optik TV remote to initiate the connection to your Wi-Fi network.
Alternatively, you can download the TELUS My Wi-Fi smartphone app or locate your modem and press its WPS button.

Step 10: Press WPS button on your modem for 10 seconds
Press and hold the WPS button on your modem for 10 seconds. The LEDs on the modem will begin flashing once the WPS button is released.

Step 11: Nice work, you're all done!
The TV screen will indicate that wireless pairing was successful. You are now connected and can enjoy Optik TV.

NOTE: If wireless pairing did not work, wait 5 minutes and repeat steps 9-11.
NOTE: If you do not see on-screen instructions, use your TV remote to turn on the TV and change to the correct input or source.
