Installation

For installing the NF-A12x25 LS-PWM on a CPU heatsink or watercooling radiator, use the fan mounting mechanism supplied with the product (e.g., fan clips, screws).

For optimal cooling performance on watercooling radiators, it is recommended to replace the stock NA-AVP1 anti-vibration pads with the included NA-AVG1 anti-vibration gasket to reduce air loss between the fan and the radiator. The NA-AVG1 gasket can also be used for other applications requiring a tighter seal with the fan.

When replacing an existing 120mm fan in other devices, it is generally recommended to use the screws or mounting mechanism from the original fan.

When installing the NF-A12x25 LS-PWM as a case fan, you can use the supplied mounting screws or the NA-AV2 silicone anti-vibration mounts.

To install the fan using the NA-AV2 mounts: First, pull the 'F' side through the fan's mounting holes, then pull the 'C' side through the case's mounting holes. The 'F' denotes the fan side, and 'C' denotes the case side.

If the long ends of the mounts obstruct, they can be trimmed with scissors after installation. Note that this will make future reinstallation difficult. For anti-vibration mounts with flat case-side ends, consider purchasing the optional NA-AV4 mounts.

Connection

The NF-A12x25 LS-PWM features a 4-pin PWM fan connector for fully automatic speed control via your motherboard's 4-pin PWM fan headers. The fan is also compatible with 3-pin fan headers; in this configuration, it will run at full speed unless the motherboard supports voltage-based speed control.

For multiple NF-A12x25 LS-PWM fans, use the supplied Y-cable (NA-YC1) to connect several fans to a single PWM fan header. This ensures all connected fans operate at the same speed, controlled by the motherboard.

The NF-A12x25 LS-PWM includes a short 20cm primary cable to minimize cable clutter. A 30cm extension cable (NA-EC1) is also supplied if a longer reach is needed.

The fan comes with a Low-Noise Adaptor (NA-RC8) that reduces the fan speed from 1200rpm to 900rpm. This adaptor can be used to set a fixed speed of 900rpm (if speed control is deactivated) or to limit the maximum speed to 900rpm during PWM speed control.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Computer fans accumulate dust over time, affecting performance. To maintain optimal performance, clean your fans regularly using a duster, a slightly moist tissue, or canned air. Exercise caution to avoid applying excessive force, which could damage the fan. Do not use a vacuum cleaner, as it may exert too much force.

The NF-A12x25 LS-PWM's premium SSO2 bearing is fully sealed to prevent fine dust particles from entering, ensuring flawless operation over many years. The fan is not designed for user disassembly; removing the impeller from the frame will break the bearing seal and void the warranty.
