Getting Started

Powering On/Off: Press the Power/Mode button to turn the camera on. Keep the Power/Mode button pressed to turn it off.

Microphone Activation/Deactivation: Press and hold the MENU UP button to activate or deactivate the microphone.

Settings Navigation

Scroll through the main menu by swiping the screen or using the MENU UP/DOWN buttons. Touch an icon on the display to access the complete menu. The menu will display video settings if the camera is in video mode, and photo settings if it is in photo mode.

Press the Power/Mode button multiple times to access the shortcut menu.

Video Settings

• Video Resolution: 4K@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@60/120fps.
• Image Stabilizer: On/Off.
• Record Audio: Yes/No.
• Wind Noise Reduction: Yes/No.
• Exposure: Adjust video brightness from -2 to +2. Negative values make the video darker, positive values make it lighter.
• Metering (Focusing Selection): Center metering focuses on the central spot; Multi metering focuses on the entire screen.
• Date Stamp: Imprint the date on the video.

Camera Settings

• Sounds: Enable/disable sound alerts.
• Angle: Adjusts the camera angle: Wide (130°), Medium (110°), Narrow (100°).
• Diving Mode: Activate for underwater shooting.
• Effects: Apply special filters to the video.
• Driving Mode: Use the camera as a dashcam in a car or on a motorbike.
• Microphone: Select internal or optional microphone (cod. C1531).
• Upside/down: Flips the recorded video horizontally.
• Screen Saver: Set the time before the screen automatically turns off.
• Auto Power Off: Set the time before the camera automatically turns off if not in use.
• White Balance: Adjust brightness based on lighting conditions.

Mode Selection

Press and hold the Shutter button to select a mode. Swipe the screen or use the MENU UP/DOWN buttons to navigate settings. Press the Shutter button to confirm.

Video Modes:

• Normal: Standard video recording.
• Seamless: Overwrites when memory is full.
• V-Timelapse: Time-lapse recording.
• SlowMotion: Slow motion recording.
• FastMotion: Allows clear viewing of fast-moving objects or people.
• Wi-Fi: Activates Wi-Fi.

Photo Modes:

• Single: Captures a single photo.
• Burst: Captures a burst of photos.
• P-Timelapse: Takes photos at set time intervals.
• Countdown: Self-timer.
• Long Exposure: Captures clear photos in low light conditions.

Using with a PC

Connect the H9 Pro to a PC and select a mode via the touchscreen or buttons.

• Mass Storage: Access files on the memory card.
• Camera Mode: Use as a webcam (no driver installation needed).
• Operation: Standard use (no battery recharge).
• Recharge: Camera turns off for battery charging.

Touchscreen Functions

• Swipe left/right to switch between photo and video modes.
• Swipe top to bottom and tap to lock the screen (drag right to unlock) or to turn off the camera.
• Swipe bottom to top to access various modes.

Camera App (iSmart DV2)

Download the iSmart DV2 app to control the camera remotely via smartphone or tablet. Features include live preview, playback, and sharing.

1. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play, or from www.midlandeurope.com.
2. Turn on the camera using the Power/Mode button.
3. Press and hold the MENU UP button to activate Wi-Fi.
4. Connect to "Midland H9 PRO" network in your device's Wi-Fi settings and enter the password shown on the camera's display.
5. Open the iSmart DV2 app.

Waterproof Case

The H9 Pro comes with a waterproof case for depths up to 30 meters. Ensure the case is functional before submerging. Test the case by submerging it empty in water and checking for leaks. Dry it carefully and then insert the camera. For condensation during dives, use an anti-fog agent.

Remote Control (RC-H9 Pro)

The included remote control allows you to take photos and record videos without touching the camera.

• To take a photo: Press the red Photo button.
• To start/stop recording: Press the grey Video button.

Compatibility
