Product Description

The Retekess window intercom system offers:

• Automatic dual-way intercommunication without button presses.
• External speaker with a slim-fit design.
• Anti-interference and noise-free functionality.
• Dual-way audio record output.
• Ideal for locations with security glass, such as banks, securities firms, hospitals, and bus stations.

Installation Instructions

1. Place the host unit on a table for staff use.
2. Position the external speaker on the outside of the glass for client use. Connect the external speaker plug to the wire hole on the host unit.
3. Connect the adapter to an AC power supply and plug the AC adapter into the host unit's wire hole.
4. Verify all plugs and jacks are correctly connected. Turn on the host unit's power switch; the power indicator light should illuminate.
5. Gradually adjust the volume control buttons on the host unit from low to high to achieve appropriate inside and outside volume levels.

Troubleshooting

Silent Operation

• Ensure the AC adapter is plugged in and secure.
• Check that the 4-core connecting cable is plugged in and secure.
• Verify that the volume has been adjusted. Adjust the volume buttons ('I-v' and 'O-v') on the host unit towards the '+' (loud) setting.

Whistle (Feedback)

• If the installation environment has high noise or interference, increase the distance between the host and external speaker, or reduce the volume ('I-v' and 'O-v').
• If the speaker volume remains too high even at the minimum setting, adjust the microphone sensitivity knob ('I-v' or 'O-v') located at the bottom of the host unit.

Staccato (Distorted Sound)

• Ensure the speaker is positioned close enough to the microphone (ideally within 20 cm).
• Avoid simultaneous speaking by both parties, as this can cause mutual exclusion.
• If ambient noise is too strong, reduce the speaker volume or move the speaker closer to the microphone.

Protect Your Hearing

• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.

Avoid Burns

• Antennas: Do not use a damaged antenna. Contact with a damaged antenna may cause minor burns.
• Batteries: Avoid short-circuiting batteries by preventing conductive materials (jewelry, keys) from touching exposed terminals. Handle batteries with care.
• Long Transmission: The radiator and chassis may become hot during long transmissions.

Safety Operation

Forbid

• Do not use the charger outdoors or in moist environments; use only in dry locations.
• Do not disassemble the charger to avoid electrical shock or fire risk.
• Do not operate a broken or damaged charger.
• Do not place the radio in an airbag deployment area.

To Reduce Risk

• Pull the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting the charger.
• Unplug the charger from the AC outlet before maintenance or cleaning.

• The adapter should be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.
• Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries properly.
