Sonos Sub Mini: The Compact Wireless Subwoofer

The Sonos Sub Mini is a compact wireless subwoofer designed to deliver bold bass and enhance your audio listening experience. It instantly adds a dimension of deep bass impact, with dual force-canceling woofers that neutralize buzz and distortion.

Overview

The Sonos Sub Mini is an ideal addition for small or medium-sized rooms, performing best at low to moderate volume levels. It allows you to mix and match Sonos products to create a personalized wireless sound system and add components at any time.

Controls and Buttons

The Sub Mini features several controls and ports:

1. Center tunnel: Efficiently moves air to maximize bass.
2. Ethernet port: Use an Ethernet cable for a wired connection to your router (optional).
3. AC power (mains) input: Connect using the supplied power cord. Using a third-party power cord may void your warranty. Ensure you use the correct power adapter for your country.
4. Status light: Indicates the product's WiFi connection, mute status, and signals errors. This light can be turned off in room settings if it is distracting.
5. Join button: Press to connect during setup.

Setup and Placement

For the best sound experience, place the Sub Mini upright near the speaker you intend to use it with. The center tunnel can face in any direction. Ensure adequate clearance around the Sub Mini if placed against a wall or furniture to allow air to move freely through the center tunnel.

Note: Ensure the Sonos product you plan to pair with Sub Mini is already set up in your system before adding the Sub Mini.

Connecting the Cables:

Attach the power cord and plug in the Sub Mini.
Download the Sonos app from your device's app store. Use the app to set up and control your Sonos system. Refer to the 'Setup' section for more information.

Trueplay™ Tuning

Trueplay offers professional-grade tuning using your iOS device's microphone (iOS 8 or later). It measures your room's acoustics and optimizes the EQ for balanced bass. To use Trueplay:

Select System in the Sonos app and choose the room you want to tune.
Choose Trueplay Tuning. During this process, move around the room with your mobile device.

Note: Trueplay tuning is unavailable if VoiceOver is enabled on your iOS device. Turn off VoiceOver in your device settings before tuning.

Changing Speaker Pairing

You can easily change the Sonos product the Sub Mini is paired with. The Sub Mini is compatible with most amplified Sonos products running S2 software, including Beam, Ray, One, One SL, and Symfonisk products.

If you move the Sub Mini to a new room, plug it back in and wait for the status light to stop flashing.
In the Sonos app, go to System and select the Sonos product the Sub Mini is paired with.
Tap Remove Sub, then pair Sub Mini with a different Sonos product.

Note: When paired with a Sonos speaker, the Sub Mini will not appear separately in your system. Changes made to the paired speaker, such as volume, mute, or music selection, will also affect the Sub Mini.

The Mains plug should be readily available to disconnect the equipment.
