Operation
LCD Screen
The LCD screen displays various indicators:
- a: ECO Mode
- b: Turbo Charging
- c: Low-battery Alert
- d: Input Power
- e: Output Power
- f: Battery Capacity
- g: AC Frequency
- h: Temperature Anomaly Alert
- i: Short-circuit Alert
- j: Overload Alert
- k: Remaining Time Indicator*
- l: UPS Indicator
- m: AC Indicator
- n: DC Indicator
* This indicator shows the remaining charge/discharge time.
Powering On/Off
Powering on: Press and hold the AC/DC Power Button for 1 second to start up corresponding output. The button's green light and the LCD Display will show 'ON'. Note: Turn on DC power to enable wireless charging. Pressing any button will keep the LCD screen on for 60 seconds.
Powering off: Press and hold power buttons to shut down corresponding output. The button's green light and the LCD Display will show 'OFF'. Note: Press and hold any button for at least 3 seconds to turn off the unit.
Standard Mode
Setting Mode: When AC power is off and the LCD screen is on, press and hold AC and DC power buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The AC frequency indicator will flash. Press and hold AC and DC power buttons simultaneously to exit 'Setting Mode'. Note: If the unit is idle for 1 minute in 'Setting Mode', it will automatically exit without saving changes.
ECO Mode: Within 'Setting Mode', press the DC power button to toggle ECO Mode on/off. Note: In ECO Mode, AC/DC output automatically turns off after 4 hours of low load (≤10W for AC, ≤1W for DC) or no load to conserve power.
Power Lifting Mode: This mode can be enabled via the BLUETTI App. Note: In this mode, output voltage and current can be adjusted to a higher level for high-powered heating devices like space heaters and electric irons. Do not use this unit to run an air conditioner or washing machine.
UPS
UPS Bypass Mode: Connect the EB3A to AC power; the 'UPS' indicator will display. Then, turn on the AC output. In this mode, AC power directly supports loads on AC output ports and charges the EB3A. Note: Maximum output power is 600W. The AC inverter is disabled in UPS Bypass Mode. The unit enters this mode only when connected to AC power AND AC output is turned on.
Setting
AC Frequency: Under 'Setting Mode', press the AC power button to switch between frequencies. AC Frequency is the number of alternating cycles per second in an AC sine wave; the utility frequency in the US is generally 60Hz.
BLUETTI APP
Download the BLUETTI App from Google Play or the App Store. The EB3A supports Bluetooth connection, allowing access and control via phone or other smart devices. Refer to BLUETTI APP INSTRUCTIONS for more details.
Charging
AC Charging
Simply plug the EB3A into a standard wall outlet to start charging. Note: The EB3A supports Standard (268W), Turbo, and Silent charging modes. Turbo/Silent modes can be enabled in the BLUETTI App.
Diagram Description: An AC Outlet is connected via an AC Charging Cable to the BLUETTI EB3A unit.
PV Charging
Connect solar panels (in series or parallel) to the EB3A using the solar charging cable. Ensure your solar panels comply with the following specifications:
- OCV (Open Circuit Voltage): 12-28V
- Input Current: 8.5A Max.
- Input Power: 200W Max.
Diagram Description: Solar panels with MC4 Connectors are connected via a Solar Charging Cable to the BLUETTI EB3A. A warning symbol indicates to ONLY use solar panels with compatible voltage.
Car Charging
Connect the EB3A directly to the vehicle's cigarette lighter port using the car charging cable. Diagram Description: A car's cigarette lighter port is connected via a Car Charging Cable to the BLUETTI EB3A. A warning symbol indicates the cigarette lighter MUST be fully inserted into the lighter port of the machine.
Generator Charging
Connect the EB3A to a generator using the AC charging cable. Note: Select a generator with compliant and stable voltage.
Diagram Description: A generator is connected via an AC Charging Cable to the BLUETTI EB3A unit.
Discharging
The EB3A can power various devices for the following estimated times:
- iPhone 13: 12-17 Times (13Wh per charge)
- MacBook: 5-6 Times (49.9Wh per charge)
- Drone: 5-6 Times (43Wh per charge)
- Camera: 10-15 Times (16.4Wh per charge)
- Power Tool: 2.5-3 Hours (80W load)
- Refrigerator: 2-2.5 Hours (90W load)
The estimated charging time is calculated using the formula: 268.8Wh × DoD × η ÷ (load power). Note: DoD (Depth of Discharge) is typically 80-90%, and inverter efficiency (η) is typically 90%. DoD may vary based on ambient temperature and discharge rate. Load power and charging time are measured in Watt and Hour.
