- Though not for use with children under 12, ensure that any children around this component are supervised; some parts are small enough to be swallowed and any present tubes or cables may provide a risk of strangulation.
- Ensure the cuff tubing is not kinked during use, as harmful injury may occur due to the effect of blood flow interference caused by high pressure in the cuff not releasing.
DO NOT:
- ✕ Use this component if you think it is damaged or anything appears unusual.
- ✕ Open/modify this component; inaccuracy and/or harmful injury may result.
- ✕ Conduct many frequent measurements as this may result in harmful injury due to blood flow interference.
- ✕ Place the cuff over a wound as this may cause further injury.
- ✕ Place and pressurize the cuff over/near any present intravascular access or therapy, or arteriovenous shunt, as this may cause blood flow interference and result in harmful injury.
- ✕ Place and pressurize the cuff over a limb near the side of a mastectomy as this may cause harmful injury.
- ✕ Use this component on a limb simultaneously with other medical equipment on the same limb due to possible interference with such medical equipment.
- ✕ Maintain pressure in the cuff applied to the limb for a prolonged amount of time. Ensure that circulation in the limb is not impaired by checking circulation if prolonged/repeated exposure to pressure occurs.
⚠️ CAUTION – Potentially hazardous situation that if not avoided may result in minor/moderate injury, property damage, and/or damage to the component.
- To avoid inaccurate measurements and to lessen any discomfort from cuff pressure, ensure the cuff is placed correctly on the limb and fits correctly when snug (not tight), as indicated by markings on the cuff.

3. Select Your Connector
IMPORTANT: This replacement package includes multiple connector types. It is critical that the correct connector be used for proper function and accurate readings.
- Examine your old Microlife blood pressure cuff and its connector. Identify the shape and color of the connector that plugs into your monitor.
- From the provided replacement package, select a new connector that matches the color and shape of your old one.
- Attach the selected matching cuff connector securely to the end of the new cuff hose.
- Connect the new cuff assembly (cuff, hose, and connector) to your Microlife automatic blood pressure monitor. Ensure the connection fits snugly and is not loose.
- Once the cuff is properly connected to the monitor, it is ready for use.

4. Applying the Cuff
- Ensure clothing does not interfere with the cuff. Remove any tight or bulky items that might restrict the arm.
- Slide the cuff onto the arm, positioning it as illustrated. The hose should be closer to your lower arm. The lower edge of the cuff should be approximately 1/2 inch (1 to 2 cm) above the elbow, with the hose positioned towards the inner side of the arm.
- IMPORTANT: The Artery Mark Indicator on the cuff must lie directly over the brachial artery. The brachial artery is located on the inside of the upper arm, generally under the front of the armpit.
- TIP: Align the Artery Mark to point towards your pinky finger, not the center of your arm.
- Tighten the cuff by pulling the free end and securing it with the hook & loop material.
- Ensure the cuff is tightened correctly. It should fit the arm snugly, allowing you to slide two fingers between the cuff and your arm. It should not be too tight or too loose.
- Once the cuff is in position and adjusted, check that the "Sizing Seam" marking falls within the "Size Range" marking on the cuff. If it does not, the cuff may not be the correct size for your arm.
Caution: Incorrect cuff sizing or application can lead to inaccurate blood pressure measurements. Systolic readings may swing by up to 10 mmHg, and a cuff that is too loose or too tight will result in an inaccurate reading.
For assistance in determining or obtaining the correct cuff size, please contact customer service or visit the Microlife website.
Diagram Description: Illustrations show:
- The arm circumference range (8.7" - 16.5").
- Cuff placement showing the 1/2" (1-2 cm) gap above the elbow and the hose position towards the inner arm.

Comment: If it is not possible to fit the cuff to your left arm, it can also be placed on your right arm. Ensure all measurements are taken on the same arm.
Using the cuff: Follow all instructions included with your original Microlife blood pressure monitor when taking a blood pressure measurement.
