2. HARDWARE DESCRIPTION
The device features the following ports and components:
- 1. USB port: Can be connected to a computer for charging and program upgrades.
- 2. TF card slot
- 3. SIM card slot
- 4. Microphone
- 5. Rear cover of magnet
- 6. Infrared induction
3. QUICK CHARGER
This device supports a maximum 2A current quick charger. To charge, connect the device to an AC adapter (Output voltage: 5V, current: >2A) using the original MICRO USB cable.
4. INSTALLATION (MODEL B)
If you need to connect external power, stop the engine, and enable the SOS function, use the 4-PIN connector wire (optional accessory) as shown in the diagram. The diagram illustrates connections for +12V, Battery, Original engine control line (Red, White, Black wires), Relays, and Oil pump. The SOS button should be installed in a hidden place accessible to the driver.
5. INSERT SIM CARD, TURN ON THE DEVICE
Follow these steps to insert the SIM card and turn on the device:
- Open the soft glue plug.
- Insert the SD card as shown in the picture.
- Insert the SIM Card as shown in the picture; the tracker will turn on automatically.
- Cover the soft glue plug.
The device automatically turns on after inserting the card. For the first time, bring the device outdoors and wait for approximately 10-40 seconds for it to search for GSM and GPS signals to start working normally.

7. THIS GPS TRACKER SUPPORTS MOBILE APP, WEB PLATFORM AND SMS FOR MANAGEMENT IN MULTIPLE WAYS
If you use the APP and web platform, you need a SIM card with a data plan or a data card. If you use SMS, you need a SIM card that enables SMS, voice calls, and caller ID.
8. MOBILE APP
Scan the QR code [QR Code] to download the BAANOOL IOT app. You can also search for “BAANOOL IOT” on Google Play or the App Store. After opening BAANOOL IOT, register a new account and log in. Choose “BAANOOL car” to enter the device management interface.
Bind Device
On the home page, click the '[Add Device Button]' and scan the IMEI number to bind a new device. The IMEI number is attached to the side of the device. The IMEI can also be entered manually for binding. The interface shows a map view and an 'Add device' screen where you can scan a QR code or enter the IMEI manually.
Using tracker
Under normal circumstances, the device automatically selects the APN, username, and password without manual setting. If the device remains offline after 3 minutes of binding, you may need to set the APN, username, and password according to sections 11.21 and 11.22. Once the device is online, you can view and manage it.
9. BAANOOL IOT'S WEB VERSION
Access the web version at www.baanooliot.com. The login account name and password are the same as those used for the phone app.
10. MOBILE APP AND BAANOOL IOT'S WEB
10.1 Positioning strategy
You can select the working mode and positioning strategy by clicking the positioning button. When stationary, you can set a longer interval (e.g., 2 hours) to report location information. When moving, you can set a shorter interval (e.g., 3 minutes) for more frequent updates. The movement trajectory will be displayed when the tracker moves.
10.1.1 Working mode

Note: The above standby times are measured in a laboratory and are for reference only. Actual use may vary due to signal strength and positioning frequencies.
10.1.2 Positioning interval
Configure the interval for reporting location data when the device is stationary or moving.
10.2 History playback
Click the playback button to view the historical track of the device. The interface displays a map with playback controls.
10.3 Geo-fence
After setting up multiple geo-fences on the APP or platform, an alarm will be triggered when the device enters or leaves a set fence. The interface shows a map with geo-fence areas.
10.4 Movement alarm
Draw a circle centered on the device's current location. When the device leaves this range, a movement alarm will be triggered.
10.5 Over speed alarm
After setting an overspeed value, an alarm will be triggered when the device's speed exceeds the set threshold.
10.6 Shock alarm
Turn on the shock alarm function. When the device is stationary, the shock alarm will be triggered if the device moves or vibrates.
10.7 Low battery alarm
When the tracker's built-in battery voltage drops close to 3.55V, the tracker will send a low battery alarm every 15 minutes, for a total of 2 times.
10.8 External power disconnection alarm (Model B)
This function is turned off by default. When activated, it sends an alarm if the external power supply is disconnected.
10.9 SOS Alarm (Model B)
Press the SOS button for 3 seconds to send an SOS alarm.
10.10 Tamper alarm
The tracker has a built-in light sensor. When the tracker is removed after installation, a tamper alarm will be triggered. This function is turned off by default.
10.11 Remote immobilizing (Model B)
Options include delayed immobilizing (executes when speed is below 20km/h) and immediate immobilizing (executes regardless of speed). You can also resume fuel and power supply.
10.12 Listen
Listen for 15 seconds per request. Dialing the device can initiate a listening mode.
10.13 Other function settings
You can control various device settings, including stopping alarms, checking SIM card balance, updating firmware, resetting the device, restoring factory settings, setting shock sensitivity, authorization numbers, alarm times, time zone, external power on/off, tamper alarm on/off, vibration alarm on/off, vibration sensitivity, smart angle updating, tracker password, checking device details, operation records, and installation information.
11. SMS FUNCTIONS
Note: If you prefer to use the mobile APP and web version, you do not need to pay attention to the following SMS content.
The device turns on GPRS by default. If you use only SMS to manage the device, it is recommended to turn off GPRS by referring to command 11.25.
Attention: When reading this user manual, note that '+' between words means they should be written together as one word, and a space between words means you should leave one character space.
11.1 Changing password
SMS command: password+old password+space+new password
. Response: password ok
. The default password is 123456, which must be changed upon first use.
11.2 Authorization

11.3 Single Tracking
SMS Command: position+password
. The tracker replies with location information and a link to view it on the map. Making a call to the tracker will cause it to automatically hang up and reply with a positioning message. If no authorized numbers are set up, it replies to all calls with a location report. If authorized numbers are set up, it will not respond to unauthorized calls.
11.4 Positioning strategy
11.4.1 Working mode
- Real time online:
online+password
. GSM is always online; location can be queried anytime. Location is reported at set intervals regardless of whether the device is stationary or moving. - Smart mode:
sleep+password
. The tracker sleeps when stationary (cannot be contacted by call or SMS). SOS, tamper, and shock alarms can still trigger online status. The tracker awakens when it moves and reports its position according to set intervals, whether stationary or moving. If SOS or tamper alarms are triggered, the device remains online until the alarm is cleared. - Power saving mode:
psm+password+space+wake-up time (hour:minute)+space+reporting interval (hour)
. After setting the wake-up time and reporting interval, the device sleeps (cannot be contacted by call or SMS). SOS, tamper, and shock alarms can trigger online status. If SOS or tamper alarms are triggered, the device remains online until the alarm is cleared. When the wake-up time is reached, the device wakes up, reports position, works for 3 minutes, and then wakes up regularly according to the set period. For example,psm+password+9:30+2
means waking up at 9:30 and reporting every 2 hours.
11.4.2 Positioning interval

Draw a circle with the tracker's current location as the center. A movement alarm is triggered when the tracker exceeds the specified radius.
11.6 Over speed alarm

An overspeed alarm is triggered when the speed exceeds the set value.
11.7 Shock alarm
Turn on shock alarm function. When the device is stationary, the shock alarm is triggered if the device moves or vibrates.

Vibration sensitivity defaults to level 2 and can be set to 1, 2, or 3. SMS command: sensitivity+password+space+2

11.8 Low battery alarm
This feature is activated by default. When the tracker's built-in battery voltage is close to 3.55V, it sends a low battery alarm every 15 minutes, for a total of 2 times.

11.9 Extpower disconnection alarm (Model B)
This function is turned off by default. When turned on and the external power supply is disconnected, the device triggers an external power disconnection alarm.

11.10 SOS alarm (Model B)
Press the SOS button for 3 seconds, and the device will trigger an emergency alarm.
11.11 Tamper alarm
The terminal has a built-in light sensor. When the terminal is removed after installation, a tamper alarm will be triggered. It is turned off by default.

11.12 Stop alarm

11.13 Remote Immobilizing (Model B)

11.14 Listen
The default mode is "track" (positioning mode). When dialing the device, positioning information will be returned.

11.15 Configure times of alarm
The number of times SOS and external power disconnection alarms can be set.

11.16 SIM Card Balance Enquiry
Way 1

. The device forwards the received text message from the operator to the sender of the command. The diagram illustrates the flow: Mobile sends balance inquiry to Tracker, Tracker sends to 10086 (China mobile), 10086 sends balance back, Tracker forwards message to mobile.
Way 2
Command: forward+password+space+operator number

When the network operator sends a text message to remind you to top up your SIM card, the tracker forwards the notification message to the authorized number.
11.17 Check status
Command: check+password
. Reply: battery level, GPS signal, GSM signal, GPRS status, APN, UP, IP, port, etc.
11.18 Check IMEI

. Reply: device IMEI.
11.19 Time Zone Setting
The device automatically synchronizes the local time zone. If the time is wrong, you need to set the time zone.

12. CAUTIONS
Please be sure to follow these guidelines when using the device:
- Keep the tracker used in a dry environment. Humid environments can easily damage internal circuits.
- Do not place it in a dusty environment.
- Do not place the tracker in overheated or overcooled locations.
- Handle carefully. Do not vibrate or shake it violently.
- Clean with a dry cloth; do not use chemicals and detergents.
- Do not disassemble the device, as this may lead to internal circuit failure.
- Read the user manual carefully before installation and operation, and understand the voltage range. Otherwise, it may not work properly or could damage the tracker.
13. TROUBLESHOOTING
