Front Seats

Seats with Manual Adjustment

Follow these steps for manual seat adjustment:

  1. Move the seat forward and backward.
  2. Adjust the seat height.
  3. Adjust the seatback recline.
  4. Adjust the headrest (if equipped).

Warning: Do not adjust the seat while the vehicle is in motion. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and injury.

Seats with Electric Adjustment

For electric seat adjustments, the electronic key must be in the vehicle.

  1. Lumbar support adjustment.
  2. Seatback adjustment.
  3. Headrest adjustment (if equipped).
  4. Seat height adjustment.
  5. Seat forward and backward movement.
  6. Cushion tilt adjustment.

Warning: Do not adjust the seat while the vehicle is in motion. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and injury.

Obstructions to Seat Position Adjustment

If seat adjustment stops unexpectedly, check for obstructions and remove them. After removing any obstructions, press the button again to continue the interrupted adjustment. When the seat resumes movement, hold the button until the seat reaches its extreme position in that direction. After this, the adjustment can be performed normally.

Note: If there are no obstructions but the seat still jams, contact your Land Rover dealer or authorized workshop.

Correct Seating Position

Warning: The driver and front passenger must not travel with the seatback fully reclined.

Warning: Do not adjust the seat while the vehicle is in motion.

All seat components, headrests, seat belts, and airbags provide protection for the driver and passengers. Correct use of these components enhances your protection. Therefore, always follow these rules:

  1. Sit upright with your lower back firmly against the seatback. The seatback should not be reclined more than 30 degrees.
  2. Do not move the driver's seat too close to the steering wheel. The ideal position is when the distance between the center of your chest and the airbag cover on the steering wheel is no more than 250 mm (10 inches). Hold the steering wheel correctly with your arms slightly bent at the elbows.
  3. Adjust the headrest so its top edge is above the back of your head.
  4. Position the seat belt so it passes between your neck and shoulder. The belt should fit snugly across your hips, not your stomach.

Your driving position should be comfortable and allow you to perform all vehicle control functions.

Driver's Seat Position Memory

The position of the front seats can be stored in the vehicle's memory. After setting the driver's seat and exterior mirrors to your desired position, you can save these settings to the vehicle's memory. Refer to page 56, EXTERIOR MIRRORS.

To set the driver's seat:

  1. Press the memory setting button to activate the memory function. The switch backlight will illuminate.
  2. Press one of the preset buttons and hold for five seconds to save the current settings to memory. The information display will show the message 'Memory (1, 2 or 3) Settings Saved', and an audible signal will confirm that the settings have been saved to memory.

Note: Seat position is stored for a 5-second active period only.

Note: Saving a new position erases the settings of the previously selected position.

To recall stored memory settings: Press the corresponding preset button. The information display will show the message 'Memory (1, 2 or 3) Recalled'.

Passenger Seat (Coupe Body Style): The procedure for saving passenger seat position settings is the same as for the driver's seat. Press the memory setting button to save the current seat position.

Entry/Exit Assistance

If the entry/exit assistance function is activated, the driver's seat will automatically move down when the ignition is switched off and the door is opened. When entering the vehicle, after closing the driver's door and switching on the ignition, the seat returns to its previously set position. Refer to page 65, VEHICLE INFORMATION AND SETTINGS MENU.
