Front Seats
Power Seats
Front seats are equipped with power adjustments for optimal comfort and safety. These seats may also include features such as heated/climate control and massage functions.
Important Safety Note: Never adjust the seat position while the vehicle is in motion. This can lead to loss of vehicle control and potential injury.
Seat Adjustment Controls:
- 1. Cushion Length: Adjusts the length of the seat cushion.
- 2. Lumbar Support Adjustment: Inflates/deflates air bladders in the side bolsters for lumbar support.
- 3. Lumbar Support Adjustment: Fine-tunes the lumbar support.
- 4. Seat Backrest Recline: Adjusts the angle of the seat backrest.
- 5. Headrest Height: Adjusts the height of the headrest.
- 6. Seat Height: Adjusts the overall height of the seat.
- 7. Fore/Aft Movement: Moves the seat forward and backward.
- 8. Cushion Tilt Adjustment: Adjusts the tilt angle of the seat cushion.
Obstructions to Seat Adjustment
If a seat adjustment unexpectedly stops, check for any obstructions and remove them. If no obstructions are found and the seat still hesitates, it may require a reset. To reset, press the control button again to resume movement. Once movement resumes, hold the button until the seat reaches its furthest position in that direction. The adjustment should then function normally.
If the issue persists, contact your Land Rover dealer or authorized workshop.
Correct Seating Position
For optimal safety and comfort, follow these guidelines:
- Sit upright with your lower back firmly against the seat backrest. Avoid reclining the seat excessively, as this can compromise seat belt effectiveness in a collision.
- Ensure the driver's seat is not too close to the steering wheel. The ideal distance between the center of your chest and the steering wheel's airbag cover should be no more than 254 mm (10 inches). Maintain a proper grip on the steering wheel with slightly bent elbows.
- Adjust the headrest so that its top is level with the top of your head.
- Position the seat belt so it passes between your neck and shoulder. The lap portion of the belt should lie snugly across your hips, not your stomach.
A comfortable driving position allows for easy operation of all vehicle controls.
Armrest
The height of the armrest can be adjusted using the control wheel (1). The folding armrest can be stowed in a vertical position.
Saving Seat Positions
After adjusting the driver's seat, steering wheel, and exterior mirrors, you can save these settings for future use:
- Press the memory button (M) to activate the memory function.
- Press and hold one of the preset buttons (1, 2, or 3) for 5 seconds to save the current settings. A confirmation message will appear on the information display, and an audible signal will confirm the settings have been saved. Note: New settings will overwrite existing ones.
- To recall saved settings, press the corresponding preset button. A message indicating the memory profile has been recalled will appear on the information display.
Note: Saving seat positions for other passengers does not generate on-screen messages.
