The car supports both 400 V and 800 V charging infrastructures with its world-first patented multi-charging system. Using a converter that plugs into the bidirectional exterior charging port, you can power devices up to 3.6 kW even when the vehicle is turned off.

Charge from Inside

IONIQ 5 can make your life easier by charging external electric devices such as electric bicycles, scooters, camping equipment, or even a stranded EV. The charging feature is enabled by an adaptor connected to the charging outlet. A second outlet is available underneath the back row seat for charging laptops, phones, and other devices.

Solar Roof

The Solar Roof, available on select Hyundai eco-friendly models, uses sunlight to help partially charge the vehicle's battery. It prevents 12V batteries from dying and also charges the high-voltage battery to extend the driving range.
