Product Overview

The Philips Hue Smart plug allows you to control lamps and other devices using your Philips Hue system. It can be controlled via the Philips Hue app or compatible accessories like the Hue dimmer switch.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Hue Smart plug:

  1. Plug In: Insert the Hue Smart plug into a wall electrical socket. Ensure it receives power.
  2. Connect to App: Open the Philips Hue app on your smartphone or tablet. Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Accessories' > 'Add accessory'. Select the Hue Smart plug and follow the on-screen instructions to add it to your Hue system.
  3. Pair with Remote (Optional): If you wish to control the plug with a Hue remote (like the Hue dimmer switch), you can pair it directly.
    • Ensure the Hue Smart plug is powered on.
    • Hold the Hue remote within 15 cm (approximately 6 inches) of the Hue Smart plug.
    • Press and hold the power button on the remote for 10 seconds.
    • Alternatively, press the power button on the remote 3 times.
  4. Confirmation: Once successfully paired, the plug should respond to commands from the app or paired remote.
