Product Overview

The Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is a versatile wireless accessory designed to control your Philips Hue smart lighting system. It allows for easy on/off control, dimming, and scene selection.

Installation and Setup

Step 1: Pairing the Dimmer Switch

To connect the Dimmer Switch to your Philips Hue system:

1. Ensure your Philips Hue Bridge is powered on and connected to your network.
2. Press and hold the Setup button [setup button] (located on the back of the switch) for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator blinks [LED indicator].
3. The LED indicator will blink rapidly, indicating it is ready to pair.
4. Open the Philips Hue app on your smartphone or tablet.
5. Navigate to Settings > Accessories > Add accessory and select 'Hue dimmer switch'.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the pairing process. The LED will blink to confirm connection.

Step 2: Mounting the Dimmer Switch

The Dimmer Switch can be mounted on a wall using the included Wall Plate.

• Mounting materials (screws, anchors) are not included.
• Attach the Wall Plate to your desired location on the wall.
• Snap the Dimmer Switch onto the Wall Plate. The switch can be easily removed from the plate for portable use.

Operating the Dimmer Switch

The Dimmer Switch offers intuitive control over your lights:

On/Off Button Functions:

• Single Click: Turns all lights in the room or zone on or off.
• Press and Hold: Dims the lights up or down gradually. Release the button when the desired brightness is reached.

Scene Selection:

The Dimmer Switch can cycle through pre-set lighting scenes:

• Single Click: Cycles through available scenes such as 'Read', 'Relax', 'Concentrate', and 'Energize'.

Resetting the Dimmer Switch:

To reset the Dimmer Switch to factory settings:

1. Locate the Setup button [setup button] on the back of the switch.
2. Press and hold the Setup button [setup button] for more than 3 seconds.
3. The LED indicator will blink three times, confirming the reset.
