1. Connecting to Your Computer
Option 1: Direct Connection
Connect the Wireless USB Adapter directly to a USB port on your computer.

Option 2: Via USB Extension Cable
Connect the Wireless USB Adapter to your computer using a USB extension cable.

Note for Windows XP/Vista: If the adapter is detected, a "Found New Hardware Wizard" window may appear. Click Cancel [❌].
For Mac OS X
- Download the driver and utilities from the product support page at www.tp-link.com.
- Unzip the downloaded folder and run
Install.pkg
. - Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
2. Installing the Driver
For Windows
- Insert the CD and run
Autorun.exe
. - Alternatively, download the driver from the product support page at www.tp-link.com.
- Select your adapter and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Note: If you encounter issues installing the driver, try disabling your antivirus software and firewall, then attempt the installation again.
3. Connecting to a Wireless Network
For Windows
Option 1: Via Windows Wireless Utility
- Click the network icon (?) on the taskbar.
- Select your Wi-Fi network.
- Click "Connect" [▶️] and enter the password when prompted.
Option 2: Via WPS Tool
If your adapter does not have a WPS button, you can skip this option.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button [?] on the adapter until the WPS Tool opens.

Option 2: Via Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
If your adapter does not have a WPS button, you can skip this option.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button [?] on the adapter until the following window appears.

When the "Success!" [✔️] message appears, your computer is connected to Wi-Fi.
For Mac OS X
Option 1: Via TP-Link Utility
- Click the TP-Link Utility icon (or similar) on the menu bar, or select the "Site Survey" tab in the utility's pop-up window.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.

When you see the "WPS Protocol Finished" or "PBC - Get WPS profile successfully" message, the connection is complete.

Safety Consultation and Precautions
- Use the original power adapter or only use this product with the specified power type.
- Before cleaning, unplug the power cord. Do not use liquid, aerosol cleaners, or a damp cloth.
- Be aware of moisture; do not spill water or other liquids onto the product.
- Slots and openings are for ventilation to ensure reliable operation and prevent overheating. Do not block or cover them.
- Do not place the product near heat sources. Ensure normal ventilation; do not place in enclosed spaces.
- Do not open the casing or attempt self-repair. If the product is faulty, contact the manufacturer or dealer.
