Sharp Aquos User Manual
This document provides a comprehensive guide to operating your Sharp Aquos television, covering remote control functions, menu navigation, application usage, and various settings.
Remote Control Overview
The remote control allows you to operate all functions of your television. Key buttons include:
- ON/OFF: Switches the TV between on and standby mode.
- MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Directly select TV channels.
- TV GUIDE: Opens the 7-day TV guide in digital mode.
- BACK: Returns to the previous channel or menu.
- PICTURE: Cycles through picture mode options.
- VOL +/-: Adjusts the volume.
- CHA +/-: Changes the channel.
- SOUND: Cycles through sound mode options.
- SOURCE: Displays the input/source menu.
- MENU: Opens the on-screen display (OSD) menu.
- EXIT: Exits all menus.
- Navigation Buttons (▲/▼/◄/►/OK): Navigate menus and adjust settings.
- FAV: Displays the favorites menu.
- INFO: Shows current/next channel information or program details.
- TEXT: Enters Teletext mode.
- SUBTITLE: Toggles subtitles on/off.
- TV: Switches to digital TV source.
- YouTube, NETFLIX, NET+: Launch respective applications.
- Rec¹, Rec List¹: PVR recording functions.
- Playback Controls (◄◄, ►►, ■, ▶/||): Rewind, fast forward, stop, play/pause.
- COLOUR BUTTONS: Additional Teletext and OSD functions.
TV Menu Navigation
Access the main menu by pressing the [MENU] button. Use the navigation buttons to move through options and [OK] to select or confirm. [EXIT] is used to leave menus.
Applications
Your TV provides access to various applications:
- Netflix: A leading internet television network offering a vast library of movies and TV shows.
- YouTube: A video-sharing platform to discover and watch original content. Ensure correct date and time settings for optimal performance.
- AQUOS NET+: Accesses the Sharp SMART portal for various applications and internet browsing.
Browser
Use the browser to access websites. Navigation includes scrolling pages, showing/hiding the menu bar, and zooming.
Settings
Access various settings through the menu:
- QUICK SETTINGS: Adjust audio tracks, subtitles, teletext, and manage recordings (Record List, Schedule List).
- PICTURE: Customize picture settings like mode (Standard, Movie, Game, Personal, Eco, Dynamic), brightness, contrast, color, sharpness, tint, and color temperature. Aspect ratio options include Auto, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom, and Dot by Dot (HDMI).
- SOUND: Select sound modes (Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, Personal), adjust DTS Studio Sound, DTS DRC, speaker settings, and digital audio output options. Features like Digital Audio Delay and Auto Volume Level are available.
- CHANNEL: Configure DVB antenna type, perform auto or manual channel scans, manage channel lists (filter, edit, move, skip), and set up HbbTV and LCN.
- NETWORK: Connect to the internet via Cable (Ethernet) or Wi-Fi. Configure network settings, test the connection, and view network information.
- TIME: Set date and time, adjust time zone, manage daylight saving, set on/off timers, sleep timer, auto standby, and OSD timer.
- SYSTEM: Configure language settings, primary and secondary audio/subtitle languages, and parental controls. Manage HDMI settings (CEC Control, Auto Power Off/On, ARC), rename sources, and access expert settings.
- ABOUT TV: View system information, perform software upgrades via USB, and access OAD updates. Options for resetting the TV and managing Netflix accounts are also available.
Media
The USB media mode allows playback of various content types (Photo, Music, Movie) saved on a USB drive. Ensure proper USB cable usage as extensions are not recommended.
Miracast
Miracast enables screen mirroring from compatible smartphones and tablets to your TV via Wi-Fi Direct.
Media Server
Access digital media servers on your home network for content playback.
Sources
Switch between different input sources connected to your TV.
Channel List
Activate and navigate the channel list. Options to filter, edit, move, and skip channels are available.
7-Day TV Guide
Access detailed TV program information for the next 7 days, including start/end times and the ability to set reminders.
