Roadstar CLR-2615 Digital FM Clock Radio
User Manual
Location of Controls
The unit features the following controls and indicators:
1. MEM BUTTON: For settings and presets.
2. TUNING - / TIME -: For tuning radio frequencies or adjusting time backwards.
3. TUNING + / TIME +: For tuning radio frequencies or adjusting time forwards.
4. SNOOZE / SLEEP / DIMMER: For snoozing alarms, setting sleep timer, or adjusting display brightness.
5. VOLUME - / ALARM 1: For decreasing volume or setting Alarm 1.
6. VOLUME + / ALARM 2: For increasing volume or setting Alarm 2.
7. POWER ON - OFF / ALARM SETTING: For powering the unit on/off or entering alarm setting mode.
8. PM LED: Indicator for PM time.
9. LED DISPLAY: Shows time, date, and other information.
10. ALARM 1 ON INDICATOR: Indicates when Alarm 1 is active.
11. ALARM 2 ON INDICATOR: Indicates when Alarm 2 is active.
12. SPEAKER: For audio output.
13. FM ANTENNA: For receiving FM radio signals.
14. BACK-UP BATTERY: Compartment for battery backup.
15. DC INPUT: Port for connecting the AC/DC adapter.
Power Sources
This unit operates with an AC/DC adaptor (6.5V - 600mA). Connect the adaptor to the DC input (15) at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Ensure the adaptor's rated voltage matches your local voltage and that the DC plug is fully inserted.
Notes:
Use only the supplied AC/DC adaptor. Using other types may damage the unit.
Do not touch the AC/DC adaptor with wet hands.
Battery Back-up Power Failure Protection
This radio features a battery back-up circuit that maintains the correct time and alarm settings during temporary power interruptions. Install one CR-2025 battery (not included) in the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit.
Note: An alkaline battery is recommended for longer life. Replace the battery every 9 to 12 months for optimal performance and to prevent leakage.
If power is interrupted, the display will blink and the radio will not play, but the back-up circuit will preserve the clock and alarm settings. Upon power restoration, the clock will display the correct time and settings without needing adjustment.
Display Functions
Normally, the LED display shows the TIME.
Press the [MEM] button (1) to show the DAY OF THE WEEK.
Press the [TIME -] buttons (2) to show the DAY and MONTH.
Press the [TIME +] buttons (3) to show the YEAR.
Dimmer Function
Press the [DIMMER] button (4) repeatedly to adjust the display intensity.
Clock and Date Setting
In stand-by mode:
Press and hold the [MEM] button (1) until the hour flashes.
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to adjust the hour.
Confirm by pressing the [MEM] button (1).
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to adjust the minutes.
Confirm by pressing the [MEM] button (1).
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to select the 12 or 24-hour format.
Confirm by pressing the [MEM] button (1).
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the date.
Alarm Setting
In stand-by mode:
Press and hold the [POWER] button (7) to enter Alarm Setting mode.
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to adjust the hour.
Confirm by pressing the [POWER] button (7).
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to adjust the minutes.
Confirm by pressing the [POWER] button (7).
Use the [TIME -/+] buttons (2/3) to set the days:
1-5 (Monday to Friday)
1-7 (Whole week)
6-7 (Weekend)
1-1 (One day of the week)
Confirm by pressing the [POWER] button (7).
Repeat steps 2 to 7 to set the second alarm.
Activate / Deactivate Alarm Settings
In stand-by mode, press the [ALARM 1 or 2] buttons (5/6) repeatedly to select the alarm mode (Buzzer / Radio / OFF). When an alarm is active, a dot "•" indicator will light up on the right side of the display.
Alarm Off
When the alarm sounds, press the [POWER] button (7) to deactivate it (the alarm stops, but settings remain) or press the [SNOOZE] button (4) to postpone the alarm for 8 minutes.
Using the Radio
Press the [POWER] button (7) to turn the unit on.
Adjust the radio frequency by pressing the [TUNING +/-] buttons (2/3). Holding the button will scan for the next station.
Adjust the volume using the [VOLUME +/-] buttons (5/6).
To turn off the radio, press and hold the [POWER] button (7).
Note: For better reception, reorient the antenna (13).
Presets
To save a station:
Tune to the desired station.
Press and hold the [MEM] button (1) until "P" flashes on the display.
Use the [TUNING +/-] buttons (2/3) to select a preset number.
Press the [MEM] button (1) to save the station.
To recall a preset station:
Press the [MEM] button (1), then use the [TUNING +/-] buttons (2/3) to select the desired preset station.
Sleep Timer
The sleep timer automatically switches the radio off after a set time. When the radio is ON:
Press and hold the [SLEEP] button (4).
Press the [SLEEP] button (4) repeatedly to select the desired shutdown time (options: 120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, 05, or OFF).
The sleep time is confirmed if no button is pressed within 5 seconds.
Cancel Sleep Timer
Press and hold the [SLEEP] button (4).
Press the [SLEEP] button (4) repeatedly to select "OFF".
Care and Maintenance
To prevent fire or electric shock hazards:
Do not expose the clock radio to rain or moisture.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, moisture, vibration, or dusty environments.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, benzine, thinners, or other solvents. Clean surfaces with a mild, non-abrasive detergent solution on a soft cloth.
Never insert wires, pins, or other objects into ventilation holes or openings.
