Product Overview
The Rexing FMT2 FM Transmitter features the following components:
Device Diagram Description:
- 1. Unidirectional Microphone: Located at the top front of the device.
- 2. QC3.0 Fast Charging Port: USB port on the side, supporting DC 3.5-6.5V/3A, 6.5-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A.
- 3. Type-C Charging Port: USB-C port on the side, supporting PD3.0 (20W) charging protocol.
- 4. Combination Function Button: A button on the top, also acts as a noise canceling button. Long press for 2 seconds to shut down (retains charging function).
- 5. Music Mode Button (Previous Song): A button on the side. Long press for 2 seconds to switch music modes (loop, single, random).
- 6. Music Mode Button (Next Song) / Light Switch: A button on the side. Long press for 2 seconds to switch ambient light colors (circular light, seven-color light switch).
- 7. Combination Function Button: A button on the top, also acts as a bass booster button. Long press for 2 seconds to turn off the ambient light.
- 8. Phone Buttons: Buttons on the side for play/pause, answer/hang up calls, and double-tap to start Siri.
- 9. Aluminum Knob: A rotating knob on the top.
- In Music Mode: Short press to play/pause; turn left for volume down (V-), turn right for volume up (V+).
- In Incoming Call Mode: Short press to answer; long press to reject.
- During a Call: Short press to hang up; long press to transfer to a private call.
- Long Press 2s: Enter FM mode. Rotate knob left for CH- (channel down), right for CH+ (channel up).
- Double Click: Wake up Siri/Google voice assistant; click to exit.
- 10. 3.5MM Audio Hole: Standard audio jack.
- 11. Micro SD Card Slot: Slot for inserting a Micro SD card.

Features
The FMT2 allows you to adjust the local channel to match your car radio for consistent audio transmission. It supports music playback from an SD card to car speakers and charges mobile phones and other smart devices. The Bluetooth hands-free call function enables calls through your car audio system. Activating the noise canceling button during high-speed operation helps eliminate road, wind, and environmental noise for a high-definition call experience.

Getting Started
Product Installation
- Put the threaded knob on the end of the air vent bracket.
- Insert the air vent bracket into the round hole at the back of the main unit.
- Tighten the thread.
- Open the air vent bracket and insert it into the car air-conditioning air vent grille. Tighten the screws to secure it, adjust the angle of the FM transmitter, and then use it.

Power ON/OFF
Turn on: Insert the FMT2 into the cigarette lighter hole of the car. After the car is started, the blue display will automatically turn on and flash once per second. If it is off, long press the [button-power] for 3 seconds to turn on the device.
Shutdown: Cut off the power to shut down or long press the [button-power] for 3 seconds to shut down when there is power.
Note: Even if the device is turned off, the charging port can still work normally.
Screen Display
- After power on, the blue display will show Bluetooth and frequency flashing alternately.
- After pairing is successful, the screen displays a Bluetooth icon.
- Long press the [button-FM/mode] to enter the frequency modulation mode (displaying digital frequency).
Basic Operations
FM/Bluetooth Pairing
Note: To enjoy higher-quality music, adjust the car radio to a blank frequency (a channel without local broadcast) that matches the transmitter's frequency. Ensure this frequency is consistent each time you use the device.
FM Pairing
- Turn the car radio to a blank frequency point (a channel without any broadcasting), identifiable by clear rustling.
- Long press the [button-FM/mode] button; the number flashes, indicating FM pairing mode. Turn the knob left/right to increase/decrease frequency. Adjust it to match the car radio's frequency (e.g., FM88.8). Click the [button-FM/mode] button again or wait for 3 seconds to exit FM pairing mode.
Bluetooth Pairing
- After power on, the FMT2 screen displays "HI", then the current car battery voltage. After 2 seconds, it enters Bluetooth state, indicating it's ready for pairing.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smart device, search for "FMT2", and connect. After connecting, the screen will display a Bluetooth icon, and you can play music via Bluetooth. The connection usually pairs automatically, but may prompt for a password. If prompted, enter the initial password "0000".
Note: On subsequent uses, the FMT2 will automatically connect to the last connected device.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Function
- Answer the call: Click the [button-play-pause/answer] button.
- Hang up the call: Click the [button-play-pause/answer] button.
- Reject the call: Long press the [button-reject] button for 2 seconds.
- Switch private calls: Press and hold the [button-play-pause/answer] button for 2 seconds during the call.
Music Function
Audio source: Bluetooth/Micro SD Card. Music sound effect: default stereo sound effect playback.
- Micro SD Card Mode: Insert a Micro SD card containing MP3 / WMA / APE / FLAC / WAV / APE files into the transmitter. The transmitter will automatically start playing the files. When an incoming call occurs, the device will automatically switch to the call.
- Bluetooth Mode: Refer to your smart device's instructions. After a successful Bluetooth connection, music from your smart device can be played and synchronized to the car's built-in speaker.
Note: To ensure a better product experience, please select only one audio source at a time.
Audio Source Selection
- The device will recognize the last connected device (Bluetooth or Micro SD Card) to play by default.
- Auto play option via Micro SD Card: Plug and play.
- After power off or restart, the FMT2 will enter the previous play mode (automatically play music in Micro SD Card mode; manual play is required in Bluetooth mode).
Audio Playback Operation
- Play/Pause: Click the [button-play-pause/answer] button.
- Previous/Next: Short press the [button-previous] button to play the previous song, short press the [button-next] button to play the next song.
Switching the Music Playing Mode
In music play mode, long press the [button-mode-switch] button for 2 seconds to switch between list loop play, single loop play, random play, and other play modes.
Advanced Features
High-speed Noise Cancellation
- During a call, click the [button-noise-cancel] button to enter high-speed noise cancellation mode. A "Dingdong" voice prompt will indicate activation. This suppresses ambient noise in the car, providing a clear and interference-free call experience for the recipient.
- Click the [button-noise-cancel] button again to exit high-speed noise cancellation mode.
QC3.0 Charging Port
- The output power is 18W, compatible with FCP/QC3.0/QC2.0/BC1.2/DCP, etc.
- Smart devices supporting QC3.0 fast charge will meet the QC3.0 fast charge protocol: DC 3.6-6.5V/3A, 6.5-9V/2A, 9-12V/1.5A.
Type-C Charging Port
- Output power is 20W, supporting PD3.0 fast charging protocol.
- Smart devices supporting PD3.0 protocol will meet DC 5V/3A, 9V/2.22A, 12V/1.67A output.
Voice Assistance
- Supports Siri and Google Assistant voice assistant wake-up.
- Press and hold the [button-Siri/voice-assist] button for 2 seconds to wake up the voice assistant while connected via Bluetooth.
Road Noise Reduction

- Adjust the direction of the microphone until it is directly facing the driver.
- Press the [button-noise-reduce] button during the call. When you hear a tone, the road noise reduction mode is activated.

How to install the fuse?
- Rotate the screw on the bottom of the Bluetooth FM transmitter counterclockwise.
- Insert the fuse into the screw hole with the metal tip; the metal on the edge of the fuse will attach to the metal tip.
- Assemble the rubber gasket.
- Assemble the metal gasket.
- Turn the screw clockwise to the bottom of the Bluetooth FM transmitter.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Noise issues
Solution:
- a. Reduce the speaker volume by one third and increase the volume of the smart device.
- b. Signal interference: Please switch to another empty white frequency point.
- c. Plug and unplug the machine again to restore the initial state and work again.
2. The other party cannot hear you during a call.
Reason 1: The dialing method is wrong.
Solution:
- a. When a call comes in, click the [button-play-pause/answer] button to answer the call through the car speaker.
- b. Activate the phone speaker to answer the call.
Reason 2: The call volume is low.
Solution:
- a. Increase the volume of the phone.
- b. The volume of the other party is too low during the call; ask the other party to increase their volume.
Reason 3: The microphone is broken.
Suggestion: Contact customer service for help.
