9. Charging
Grid Charging (Default)
Diagram Description: Diagram illustrating the AC charging setup for the B230 using a T500 adapter.
Estimated charging time: 2048Wh / 500W (T500 adapter) + (0.5 - 1 hour trickle charge) = 4.6-5.1 hours for a full charge of the AC200MAX when charging solely via the T500 adapter.
Estimated usage time: 2048Wh / 96W (MacBook Pro) * 0.9 (DOD) * 0.9 (η) = approximately 17 times.
Where DOD = Depth of Discharge, η = efficiency.
Expansion Battery Charging 01
Diagram Description: Diagram illustrating the charging of the B230 expansion battery connected to the AC200MAX.
Charging Logic:
- If SOC-A (AC200MAX remaining capacity) = SOC-B (B230 remaining capacity), both units charge simultaneously.
- If SOC-A < SOC-B, the AC200MAX power station will charge first from all power sources until SOC-A = SOC-B, after which both units will charge simultaneously.
- If SOC-A > SOC-B, only the AC200MAX will charge.
Expansion Battery Charging 02
Diagram Description: Diagram illustrating the charging of the B230 expansion battery connected to the AC200MAX via a T500 adapter.
Charging Logic:
- If SOC-A = SOC-B, both units charge simultaneously.
- If SOC-A < SOC-B, the B230 is charged by the external power source (e.g., T500 adapter), while the AC200MAX power station is charged from the B230.
- If SOC-A > SOC-B, the B230 power station will charge first from all power sources until SOC-A = SOC-B, after which both units will charge simultaneously.
10. AC200MAX + B230 Expansion Batteries
- Step 1: Turn the B230 battery pack on/off.
- Step 2: Press the button (a) and fully insert the Battery Expansion Cable into the battery expansion port on the AC200MAX power station.
- Step 3: Push the switch (b) forward to secure the connection.
Diagram Description: Diagrams showing the connection of an expansion battery to the AC200MAX.
Capacity Increase:
- AC200MAX + 1x B230 = 4096Wh capacity
- AC200MAX + 2x B230 = 6144Wh capacity
