Advice Regarding First Time Use
After installation, remove stoppers from racks and retaining elastic elements from the upper rack.
Filling the Salt Reservoir
Salt prevents limescale buildup on dishes and machine components. The salt reservoir must never be empty. It is important to set the water hardness.
The salt reservoir is located in the lower part of the dishwasher. It needs to be filled when the
indicator light is lit.- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap anticlockwise.
- For the first use only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
- Position the funnel and fill the salt reservoir to the brim (approx. 1 kg). Some water may leak out, which is normal.
- Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue.
Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering the salt container, which could damage the water softener.
Always complete the salt filling procedure before starting a wash cycle to avoid corrosion.
Setting the Water Hardness
To ensure the water softener works correctly, set the water hardness based on your local water supplier's information.
The factory default is pre-set. To adjust:
- Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF button.
- Switch the appliance OFF using the ON/OFF button.
- Press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds until a beep is heard.
- Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF button. The program indicator light for the current set level will flash.
- Press the 'P' button to select the desired hardness level (refer to the Water Hardness Table below).
- Switch the appliance OFF. Setting is complete.
After setting, run a program without loading dishes.
Only use dishwasher-specific salt. If the salt container is not filled, the water softener and heating element may be damaged by limescale. Using salt is recommended with any type of dishwasher detergent.
Water Hardness Table

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid aids in dish drying. Fill the rinse aid dispenser (A) when the
indicator light is lit.- Open dispenser B by pulling the tab on the lid.
- Pour rinse aid (max. 110 ml), avoiding overflow. Clean spills immediately with a dry cloth.
- Press the lid down until it clicks shut.
Never pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.
Adjusting the Dosage of Rinse Aid
If drying results are unsatisfactory, adjust the rinse aid quantity:
- Switch the dishwasher ON.
- Switch the dishwasher OFF.
- Press START/PAUSE three times (a beep will sound).
- Switch the dishwasher ON. The current set level's program indicator light will flash.
- Press the 'P' button to select the desired rinse aid level.
- Switch the dishwasher OFF. Setting is complete.
A setting of 1 (ECO) supplies no rinse aid. A maximum of 5 levels is available depending on the model.
- For bluish streaks on dishes, set a low number (2-3).
- For water drops or limescale marks, set a mid-range number (4-5).
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
Use the opening device C to open the detergent dispenser D. Add detergent only into the dry dispenser. Pre-wash detergent can be placed directly inside the tub.
- Measure detergent according to instructions. The dispenser D has markings for guidance.
- Remove any detergent residue from the dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks.
- Close the dispenser lid by pulling it up until secured.
The dispenser opens automatically during the cycle. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button for optimal results. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause malfunction or damage.

Advice and Tips
- Before Loading: Remove food residues and empty glasses. Rinsing under running water is not necessary.
- Arrangement: Place crockery firmly to prevent tipping. Containers should face downwards, and concave/convex parts should be angled to allow water flow. Lids, handles, and pans should not obstruct spray arms.
- Cutlery: Place small items in the cutlery basket.
- Heavily Soiled Items: Place pots and pans in the lower basket for stronger spray action.
- Spray Arms: Ensure spray arms can rotate freely after loading.
Unsuitable Crockery
- Wooden crockery and cutlery.
- Delicate decorated glasses, artistic handicraft, and antique crockery (decorations may not be resistant).
- Synthetic parts not resistant to high temperatures.
- Copper and tin crockery.
- Crockery soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or ink.
Glass decoration colors and aluminum/silver pieces may fade. Some glass types (e.g., crystal) may become opaque.
Damage to Glass and Crockery
- Use only dishwasher-safe glasses and porcelain.
- Use a delicate detergent suitable for crockery.
- Collect glasses and cutlery promptly after the wash cycle.
Tips on Energy Saving
- Using a dishwasher according to instructions generally consumes less energy and water than hand washing.
- Maximize efficiency by running the dishwasher when fully loaded.
- For partial loads, use specific options like Half Load or Zone Wash if available.
- Incorrect loading or overloading can increase resource usage and reduce performance.
- Manual pre-rinsing increases water and energy consumption and is not recommended.
Hygiene
To prevent odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program at least once a month. Use a teaspoon of detergent and run the cycle without loading.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly
Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper water drainage. Clogged filters can cause malfunction, reduced performance, or increased resource usage.
The filter assembly has three parts. Clean it under running water with a non-metallic brush at least monthly or after every 30 cycles.
- Turn cylindrical filter A anticlockwise and pull it out.
- Remove cup filter B by pressing the side flaps.
- Slide out the stainless-steel plate filter C.
- Carefully remove any foreign objects (e.g., broken glass, seeds).
- Inspect and clean the trap. Never remove the wash-cycle pump protection (black detail).
Ensure the filter assembly is correctly replaced and fixed for efficient operation.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
Food residue can encrust spray arms and block holes. Periodically check and clean them with a small non-metallic brush.
To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring anticlockwise. Reassemble with the side with more holes facing upwards. The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.
Water Softening System
The water softener reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup and improving cleaning efficiency. It regenerates using salt, so the salt reservoir must be kept filled.
Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting. It occurs approximately every 5 Eco cycles for a hardness level of 3. The process starts during the final rinse and finishes during drying.
- Single regeneration consumes approx. 3.5L of water.
- Adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle duration.
- Consumes less than 0.005 kWh of energy.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose
If the water hoses are new or have been unused for a long time, run water through them to ensure they are clear of impurities before connecting. This prevents blockages and potential damage to the dishwasher.
