Product Description

Appliance Components

The appliance includes the following main components:

Control Panel

The control panel features the following buttons and indicators:

First Time Use: Salt, Rinse Aid, and Detergent

Advice Regarding First Time Use

After installation, remove stoppers from racks and retaining elastic elements from the upper rack.

Filling the Salt Reservoir

Salt prevents limescale buildup on dishes and machine components. The salt reservoir must never be empty. It is important to set the water hardness.

The salt reservoir is located in the lower part of the dishwasher. It needs to be filled when the SALT REFILL indicator light is lit.

  1. Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap anticlockwise.
  2. For the first use only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
  3. Position the funnel and fill the salt reservoir to the brim (approx. 1 kg). Some water may leak out, which is normal.
  4. Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue.

Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering the salt container, which could damage the water softener.

Always complete the salt filling procedure before starting a wash cycle to avoid corrosion.

Setting the Water Hardness

To ensure the water softener works correctly, set the water hardness based on your local water supplier's information.

The factory default is pre-set. To adjust:

  1. Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF button.
  2. Switch the appliance OFF using the ON/OFF button.
  3. Press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds until a beep is heard.
  4. Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF button. The program indicator light for the current set level will flash.
  5. Press the 'P' button to select the desired hardness level (refer to the Water Hardness Table below).
  6. Switch the appliance OFF. Setting is complete.

After setting, run a program without loading dishes.

Only use dishwasher-specific salt. If the salt container is not filled, the water softener and heating element may be damaged by limescale. Using salt is recommended with any type of dishwasher detergent.

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser

Rinse aid aids in dish drying. Fill the rinse aid dispenser (A) when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit.

  1. Open dispenser B by pulling the tab on the lid.
  2. Pour rinse aid (max. 110 ml), avoiding overflow. Clean spills immediately with a dry cloth.
  3. Press the lid down until it clicks shut.

Never pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.

Adjusting the Dosage of Rinse Aid

If drying results are unsatisfactory, adjust the rinse aid quantity:

  1. Switch the dishwasher ON.
  2. Switch the dishwasher OFF.
  3. Press START/PAUSE three times (a beep will sound).
  4. Switch the dishwasher ON. The current set level's program indicator light will flash.
  5. Press the 'P' button to select the desired rinse aid level.
  6. Switch the dishwasher OFF. Setting is complete.

A setting of 1 (ECO) supplies no rinse aid. A maximum of 5 levels is available depending on the model.

Filling the Detergent Dispenser

Use the opening device C to open the detergent dispenser D. Add detergent only into the dry dispenser. Pre-wash detergent can be placed directly inside the tub.

  1. Measure detergent according to instructions. The dispenser D has markings for guidance.
  2. Remove any detergent residue from the dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks.
  3. Close the dispenser lid by pulling it up until secured.

The dispenser opens automatically during the cycle. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button for optimal results. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause malfunction or damage.

Programs Description

Instructions on wash cycle selection:

The Rapid 30' cycle is dedicated to lightly soiled dishes.

Options and Functions

Options can be selected directly by pressing the corresponding button on the control panel. If an option is incompatible with a selected program, the indicator light will flash rapidly 3 times and emit beeps.

Loading the Racks

Upper Rack

Load delicate and light dishes: glasses, cups, saucers, low salad bowls.

Lower Rack

Suitable for pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery, etc. Large plates and lids should ideally be placed at the sides to avoid interference with the spray arm.

Adjusting the Height of the Upper Rack

The upper basket height can be adjusted for better space utilization. With the Upper Rack height adjuster, lift the rack to the upper position by holding its sides (without pressing levers) until stable. To lower, press the levers (A) on the sides and move the basket down.

Do not adjust the height when the rack is loaded. Never raise or lower the basket on one side only.

Cutlery Basket

The basket has top grilles for cutlery arrangement. Position it at the front of the lower rack. Knives and sharp utensils should point downwards or be placed horizontally in the upper rack's tip-up compartments.

Foldable Flaps with Adjustable Position

Side foldable flaps can be folded or unfolded to optimize crockery arrangement. Wine glasses can be placed safely by inserting their stems into the slots. Depending on the model, unfold by sliding up and rotating or releasing snaps, and fold by rotating and sliding down or pulling up to attach to snaps.

Daily Use

  1. Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and the tap is open.
  2. Switch On: Press the ON/OFF button.
  3. Load Racks: Refer to the "Loading the Racks" section.
  4. Fill Detergent Dispenser: Refer to the "Filling the Detergent Dispenser" section.
  5. Choose Program and Customize: Select the most appropriate program using the 'P' button based on crockery type and soiling level. Select desired options.
  6. Start: Press the START/PAUSE button. A beep indicates the program has started.
  7. End of Wash Cycle: Indicated by beeps and flashing wash cycle indicator. Open the door and switch off the appliance using the ON/OFF button. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid burns. Unload starting with the lower rack.

The machine may switch off automatically during inactivity to save electricity. If dishes are lightly soiled or pre-rinsed, reduce detergent quantity.

Modifying a Running Program

If a wrong program was selected, press and hold ON/OFF to switch off. Switch back on, select the new program and options, then press START/PAUSE.

Adding Extra Crockery

Without switching off, open the door (beware of hot steam!), add crockery, close the door, and press START/PAUSE. The cycle resumes from where it was interrupted.

Accidental Interruptions

If the door is opened or power is cut, the cycle stops. After closing the door or restoring power, press START/PAUSE to resume.

Advice and Tips

Unsuitable Crockery

Glass decoration colors and aluminum/silver pieces may fade. Some glass types (e.g., crystal) may become opaque.

Damage to Glass and Crockery

Tips on Energy Saving

Hygiene

To prevent odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program at least once a month. Use a teaspoon of detergent and run the cycle without loading.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Filter Assembly

Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper water drainage. Clogged filters can cause malfunction, reduced performance, or increased resource usage.

The filter assembly has three parts. Clean it under running water with a non-metallic brush at least monthly or after every 30 cycles.

  1. Turn cylindrical filter A anticlockwise and pull it out.
  2. Remove cup filter B by pressing the side flaps.
  3. Slide out the stainless-steel plate filter C.
  4. Carefully remove any foreign objects (e.g., broken glass, seeds).
  5. Inspect and clean the trap. Never remove the wash-cycle pump protection (black detail).

Ensure the filter assembly is correctly replaced and fixed for efficient operation.

Cleaning the Spray Arms

Food residue can encrust spray arms and block holes. Periodically check and clean them with a small non-metallic brush.

To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring anticlockwise. Reassemble with the side with more holes facing upwards. The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.

Water Softening System

The water softener reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup and improving cleaning efficiency. It regenerates using salt, so the salt reservoir must be kept filled.

Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting. It occurs approximately every 5 Eco cycles for a hardness level of 3. The process starts during the final rinse and finishes during drying.

Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose

If the water hoses are new or have been unused for a long time, run water through them to ensure they are clear of impurities before connecting. This prevents blockages and potential damage to the dishwasher.
