UKEP Front View

The front view displays a white, flip-up keypad transmitter. The flip-up cover reveals instructions for setup, PIN management, and battery replacement. The keypad features numeric buttons (0-9), a 'P' (Program) button, and directional arrow buttons. The Genie logo is visible at the bottom of the unit.

UKEP Bottom View

The bottom view shows the rear of the transmitter, designed for wall mounting. It includes mounting slots and various regulatory labels, including FCC and IC identification information.

Basic Operation Guidance

Setting up a PIN

To set up a Personal Identification Number (PIN), press the 'P' button. The device will indicate when the keyring is programmed.

Programming the Opener

To program the garage door opener:

  1. Press the 'P' button.
  2. Wait for the opener's [LED Indicator] to reach a specific state.
  3. Press the 'A' button.
  4. Press the 'TA' button.
  5. Press the 'YA' button.
  6. The opener's [LED Indicator] will turn ON, indicating successful programming.

Using the Keypad

After programming, the door opener will respond to keypad input. The opener's [LED Indicator] will turn OFF after operation.

PIN Management

The keypad supports features for forgotten PINs and changing existing PINs.

Battery Replacement

When the battery needs replacement, use standard AAA batteries.
