Milwaukee BOLTTM Full Face Shield
Important Safety Information
⚠️ WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions provided. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in serious and permanent eye injury, including blindness or death.
Before using this product in an industrial setting, refer to ANSI Z87.1 (in the United States) or CSA Z94.3 (in Canada), your supervisor, or a safety specialist to ensure that you are wearing proper protection. Some operations may require machine guards, goggles, face shields, special filter lenses, or other safety equipment.
This product helps provide limited eye protection from light to moderate impact hazards, such as metal or wood chips and small flying objects. This face shield is impact-resistant but NOT unbreakable.
Protective devices do NOT provide unlimited protection. Eye and face protective devices are not substitutes for machine guards and other engineering controls. Personal eye and face protective devices alone should not be relied on to provide complete protection against hazards (such as fragmenting grinding wheels, exploding devices, etc.), but should be used in conjunction with the machine guards, engineering controls, and sound manufacturing and personal safety practices.
To reduce the risk of injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 goggles or spectacles along with these products.
Do NOT use for sports, simulated combat games (e.g., paintball), or recreation such as target shooting and archery.
Always use both hands to install and remove this product. Do NOT use unless securely attached to helmet.
Examine this product frequently and replace it immediately if there is any sign of damage. Do NOT use shield if signs of wear are visible including breakage, gouges, cracks, dents, chalky appearance, discoloration or loss of color, or craze pattern. Do NOT make any modifications to this product.
Wash polycarbonate shields with water and pat dry with a lens cloth. Wash mesh shields with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry with a cloth. Do NOT use ammonia, alkaline cleaners, abrasive cleaning compounds, or solvents when cleaning shields. Use of certain solvents may lower the impact resistance of the shields.
Do NOT use for protection against chemical mists, sprays, splashes, or vapors.
Do NOT use mesh shield for protection against sand or dust.
Special Purpose (Tinted) lenses are NOT for use where filter lenses are required.
Do NOT use near an open flame. Do NOT use for burning, cutting, welding with torches, or electric (arc) welding. Do NOT use this product for protection against laser light. Eyewear with tinted lenses offers limited protection against sun glare or other light sources.
Do NOT use this face shield if it has sustained an impact. Dispose of it immediately, even if damage is not visible.
Do NOT alter, pierce, modify, or engrave the face shield.
Do NOT tamper with assembly screws.
Do NOT alter the face shield to fit attachments in any way not recommended by the manufacturer.
Store in a clean, dry area, out of direct sunlight
Do NOT store face shield in direct sunlight, including the dashboard or rear window shelf of a vehicle, or in extreme heat over 120°F (49°C). Exposure to direct sunlight and heat over time can lessen the ability of the face shield to withstand impact and penetration.

Assembly Instructions
Attaching/Removing Face Shield and Brim
- To install the shield assembly, align the adapter tabs (left and right) with the forward-most accessory slots on the helmet. Slide the adapter tabs down through the front accessory slots on the helmet until they securely "click" into position.
- To remove the shield assembly, turn the helmet over to access the inside. Locate the release tabs where they protrude from the underside of the helmet. Press the release tab on both sides and push upwards through the accessory slots of the helmet.
- Pull the adapters (left and right) and face shield away from the helmet to detach.
Replacing the Face Shield
- Remove the face shield assembly from the helmet as described above.
- On the side covers, just below the MILWAUKEE logo, locate the lock tab at the back edge of the cover, identified by the unlock symbol [unlock symbol].
- Pull the lock tab outwards away from the face shield. Once the lock tab and the mating lock feature of the shield are no longer overlapping, rotate the cover component forward without rotating the shield (refer to conceptual Fig. 1).
- NOTE: Push the face shield inwards while pulling the locking tab outwards, then rotate forward. Pushing on the face shield is critical for removal.
- With the cover rotated forward approximately 90 degrees, the shield can be pulled down to separate from the pivot assembly of the brim.
- To reinstall a shield to the brim, reverse the procedure. Ensure the curved leading edge of the shield is slid beneath the lip on the mating surface of the pivot as it is inserted into the brim's pivot (refer to conceptual Fig. 2 and 3).
- Once the leading edge is fully inserted into the brim pivot, rotate the cover plate backward to the locked position until it securely "clicks" (refer to conceptual Fig. 4).
- After the shield is installed, cycle the shield to the full up and full down positions twice to ensure all components are fully engaged. If the shield dislodges or separates during this step, an error was made during re-installation. Repeat the shield installation steps. Ensure the proper position and full engagement of the shield's leading edge where it seats in the pivot and cover components.
