Adding Devices

Choice 1: Add Manually (Requires Wi-Fi)

Note: Please ensure your phone's Wi-Fi network is enabled.

Step 1.1: Add Device

Click the '+' icon to add a device.

Step 1.2: Select Device Type

Navigate to 'Lighting' and choose 'Light Source (Wi-Fi)' or 'Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)'.

Step 1.3: Network Connection

Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. If your network is 5GHz, please switch to a 2.4GHz network.

EZ Mode

Manually add lighting equipment and select Wi-Fi connection.

Reset the device: Power on the bulb using the power switch. Repeatedly turn the switch on-off-on-off-on until the bulb blinks rapidly (approximately 0.5-second intervals). Confirm the rapid blinking status and proceed.

AP Mode

If the bulb cannot be connected via EZ mode, try switching to 'AP Mode' (usually found in the top right corner of the app interface).

Reset the device: Power on the bulb. Turn the power switch on-off-on-off-on until the light blinks slowly. Confirm the slow blinking status and proceed.

Step 1.4: Ensure Good Connection

When adding or scanning devices, ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal, preferably 2.4GHz. If the device connection times out, click the '[Cancel Button]', re-verify the network is 2.4GHz, switch to AP mode if necessary, and restart the connection.

Step 1.5: Registration and Initialization

The device will register on the Cloud and initialize, then connect successfully.

Step 1.6: Completion

Once the device is added successfully, you can click on 'SmartBulb' to rename it and click the '[Done Button]' to adjust the Smart Bulb settings.

Choice 2: Auto Scan (Requires Bluetooth and Wi-Fi)

Note: Please ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.

Step 2.1: Add Device

Click the '+' icon to add a device.

Step 2.2: Auto Scan

The app will automatically recognize the smart bulb. Click the '[Go to Add Button]' to connect. Bluetooth can auto-scan the device.

Step 2.3: Wi-Fi Connection Setup

Click the '+' icon on the right side of 'Bluetooth Device' to add Wi-Fi details.

Step 2.4: Enter Wi-Fi Credentials

Connect the smart bulb using your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network by entering the Wi-Fi Name and Password.

Step 2.5: Proximity

For optimal connection, place your router, mobile phone, and the device as close as possible.

Step 2.6: Finalization

The device is connected successfully. You can rename the device and click the '[Done Button]' to adjust the smart bulb.

Adjusting the Smart Bulb

Color and White Balance

Adjust the smart bulb's color temperature between cold light and warm light.

Select from over 160,000 colors.

Control brightness and saturation.

Scene Modes

Choose from multiple scene modes: Night, Read, Working, Leisure, Soft, Colorful, Dazzling, and Gorgeous.

Click the '[Edit Button]' to edit the Scene Name, Scene Color, Color Flash Mode, and Color Flash Speed, then click '[Submit Button]'.

Voice Recognition and Music Sync

Change colors according to the rhythm of the music.

Creating Light Groups

Step 1: Click '[Create a home]'.

Step 2: Edit the home name, set the home location, and select rooms. Click the '[Save Button]' in the top right corner of the phone screen.

Step 3: Return to the Main interface 'Home', click the top-left icon to manage your home settings.

Voice Control with Amazon Alexa

Enable Smart Life Skill in Alexa App

Choose 'Skills' in the options bar and search for 'Smart Life' in the input box.

Select 'Smart Life' in the search results and click 'Enable Skill'.

Then, input the username and password that you had previously registered. (Note: This feature currently only supports accounts in the United States).

Discover Devices

After the above operations are successful, you can control the bulb via Echo.

Firstly, say to your Echo device: "Echo (or Alexa), discover my devices."

Echo will start to find devices added in the Smart Life APP, which will take about 20 seconds, then it will tell you the result. You can also click 'Discover devices' in the Alexa APP, which will show the devices found successfully.

Control Devices by Voice

Attention: The name of the device must be consistent with how it was added in the Smart Life App.

You can also group bulbs and give instructions to control them together.

Example Voice Commands:

• "Alexa (or Echo), turn on [bedroom light]"
• "Alexa (or Echo), turn off [bedroom light]"
• "Alexa (or Echo), set [bedroom light] to 50 percent"
• "Alexa (or Echo), increase [bedroom light] by 50 percent"
• "Alexa (or Echo), decrease [bedroom light] by 50 percent"
• "Alexa (or Echo), set [smart heater] to 34 degrees"
• "Alexa (or Echo), raise [smart heater] by 4 degrees"
• "Alexa (or Echo), lower [smart heater] by 2 degrees"

Important Notes:

Echo is one of the wake-up names; you can use Alexa, Echo, or Amazon (as configured in settings).

Alexa works best with group names she can understand, like 'Living Room' or 'Upstairs'. Names that include numbers, like 'Kitchen 1', can be harder for Alexa to understand.
