MOES ZigBee Smart Switch Instruction Manual
Model: BI15 / ZS-EUB
Product Description
This ZigBee Smart Switch is designed to replace traditional wall switches, offering smart control capabilities via the ZigBee protocol. It supports both Neutral+Live (N+L) wire and Live-only (L) wire configurations, requiring a ZigBee hub for operation. The switch features multi-control association, allowing multiple switches to control a single light when using the N+L wiring method. Its design aims to blend with various home decoration styles.

Installation Guide
Warnings:
- Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and test that power is off before wiring.
- Please disconnect the power supply before installing or removing the device to avoid irreversible damage from electric current or unpredictable problems like lamp flashing.
Note: Ensure the power at the circuit breaker is off before wiring. Two versions are available: one requiring a Neutral wire and one that does not. Please make the correct wiring according to the switch version purchased. If your switch requires a neutral wire, confirm your wall box contains one (typically white). If not, try another location or call a professional electrician. Wire colors in this manual are typical and may differ. Ensure wire conductors are securely fastened. Ensure Wi-Fi signal is steady and your mobile and Zigbee gateway hub are on the same 2.4GHz WiFi network. If you lack wiring experience, call a professional electrician.
-
Step 1: Turn Off Power
Turn off the circuit breaker and use an electrical tester to confirm power is off before wiring.
-
Step 2: Remove Old Switch
Remove the faceplate from the old switch. Use an electrical tester to ensure no voltage is present in the circuit. You may need to turn off more than one circuit breaker.
-
Step 3: Disconnect and Identify Wires
Remove the old switch and pull it away from the wall. Identify the Line/Load wires. (Note: The color of your wire may differ from the colors shown in diagrams.)
-
Step 4: Document Wiring
Take pictures of the existing wiring for reference. Follow the wiring diagram to connect the switch wires to the wall wires using wire conductors.
Wiring Diagram Description: The diagram shows a central switch unit with terminals labeled L (Line/Live), N (Neutral), and L1, L2, L3 (for controlling Light 1, Light 2, Light 3 respectively). The input power lines (L and N) connect to the switch's L and N terminals. Output lines (L1, L2, L3) connect to the respective light circuits. This diagram illustrates how to connect the switch wires to the wires in the wall box using wire conductors.
-
Step 5: Mount New Switch
Open the switch panel from the bottom of the new switch using a screwdriver. Mount the switch using the provided screws and snap the wall plate onto it.

Step 6: Restore Power and Test
Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. Test the switch to ensure the light turns on and off correctly.
Add Devices (App Configuration)
This section guides you through connecting the smart switch to your smartphone via the Smart Life app.
-
1. Download Smart Life App
Scan the QR code provided in the original document or search for "Smart Life" on your device's app store and download it.
-
2. Registration or Log In
Open the "Smart Life" application. Tap "Register" to create an account using your phone number and a verification code, then set a password. If you already have an account, choose "Log in".
-
3. Configure the APP to the Switch
Preparation: Ensure the switch is connected to electricity, your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, and can access the internet.
Note: If you have connected to a 5GHz WiFi network, please disconnect it first and connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network, as ZigBee devices typically operate on this band.
Steps for connecting the APP to the device:
Ensure the device is within the effective signal coverage of your smart ZigBee gateway for successful connection.
-
Method One: Scan QR Code Configuration
Make sure your Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP has successfully connected to a Zigbee gateway. Follow the on-screen prompts in the app to scan a QR code for network configuration.
-
Method Two: Manual Pairing
Make sure your Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP has successfully connected to a Zigbee gateway. Press and hold the button on the switch for approximately 7 seconds. The indicator light on the switch will flash fast after about 3 seconds, indicating it has entered pairing mode. Repair is successful.
-
3. Enter Gateway Pairing Mode
Follow the app's visual guide to finish adding the sub-device. The indicator light should be blinking. The connecting process typically takes 10-120 seconds, depending on network conditions.
-
4. Add Device Successfully
Once the device is added successfully, you can edit its name and enter the device page by clicking "Done".
How to Reset/Re-pair ZigBee Code
To reset or re-pair the ZigBee connection:
- Press and hold the button on the switch for approximately 7 seconds, until the indicator light flashes fast after 3 seconds. Reset/Re-pair is successful.
- In the app, you will see the device. Click the main switch to enter the next operation.
- Click "Done" to enter the device page and enjoy your smart life with home automation.
How to Achieve Multi-Control Association (Only for N+L Wire)
Note: Please confirm you have successfully linked the switch to your Smart Life App before proceeding with association.
-
1. Add Another Smart Switch
Add another smart switch to the same Smart Life/Tuya App. If a smart switch has already been added, proceed to the next step.
Note: If your switch requires a neutral wire, the newly added switch does not need to be wired to the light; only L and N are required for wiring. This allows you to control one light with multiple switches in the Smart Life/Tuya App. If your switch does not require a neutral wire, follow the wiring instructions to connect L and the light. You can then control lights simultaneously with multiple switches.

2. Access Association Settings
In the app, click the upper right corner icon [options icon], choose "Multi-Control Association", and then click the "+" icon [add icon] in the right corner.
-
3. Select Switch and Button
Choose the switch you want to associate and then select the specific switch button that will control the same light. Go back to the previous page. You will see two items listed: your main switch and the newly associated switch.
Note: Please confirm the associated switch is enabled.
-
4. Control with Multiple Switches
You are now able to control your light with two switches. Do not associate another button on the same switch for multi-control. If you wish to add a third or more smart switches to control the same light, repeat the steps above.

Troubleshooting
-
Why does the device fail to link to the APP?
- a. ZigBee products require a MOES/TUYA ZigBee gateway.
- b. Check if the router connected to the gateway is online. Ensure the gateway has a good Wi-Fi signal and try connecting the gateway again.
- c. Check if the device is too far from your gateway or other ZigBee devices. Keep the ZigBee gateway and the ZigBee device close (less than 5 meters) to form a mesh network.
- d. Verify that the device has entered the network distribution mode.
-
After the device is installed, why does the light not respond when I click the switch button?
Please disconnect the power supply and check if the connection is correct according to the instructions.
-
Why is there no reset button on my switch?
The reset button is typically the switch button itself. You can long-press the switch button for APP configuration. The power indicator light will start blinking when the device enters successful pairing mode.
-
What if my smart switch malfunctions and doesn't respond for a long time?
Please try resetting the device. First, remove the smart switch from your APP and then re-configure the network for use.
