Bearing Specifications:

Headset Adjustment

The headset allows for three distinct geometry settings by adjusting the headset cups. Ensure the same cups are used for both the upper and lower bearings.

Adjustment Settings:

Note: Ensure that the same headset cups are used for the top and bottom.

Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate the three headset cup positions: Long (+6 mm), Neutral (0 mm), and Short (-6 mm).

Dropout Adjustment

To adjust the chainstay length, the right dropout (drive side) must be exchanged. The left dropout (non-drive side) and the rear brake caliper mounts must also be adjusted accordingly.

Part Number for Dropout Kit: 424382

Chainstay Lengths:

Visual Description: The diagram shows the dropout area with an axle (A XLE) and indicates the chainstay length adjustment. Tools T30 and 5mm hex are noted. The diagram illustrates the difference between 29" and MX configurations, showing the dropout and axle mounting points.

Bottom Bracket Height Adjustment

The bottom bracket height can be adjusted to alter the suspension's progressivity. This changes the damper progressivity from 25% to 30%.

Adjustment Options:

Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate the four possible positions for the bottom bracket adjustment, indicating "High" and "Low" settings, and "Less Progressive" vs. "More Progressive".

Sag Adjustment

To set the sag, sit on the bike and allow the suspension to compress, moving the SAG meter. Carefully dismount and check the sag value.

If the sag value is not satisfactory within the indicated range (ideally 25%-35%), the damper cover can be removed to adjust the air pressure.

Damper Specifications:

Visual Description: The diagram shows a SAG meter on the shock and indicates the ideal sag range.

Cable Routing

If the rear brake is to be operated by the left brake lever (e.g., in Great Britain), use the cable routing on the drive side of the head tube (indicated by dashed lines).

Cable Identification:

Visual Description: A diagram of the head tube shows routing paths for shifter (pink) and brake (blue) cables, with specific routing indicated for left-hand brake operation.

Spare Parts

The following is a list of available spare parts for the 2026 GAMBLER:

Visual Description: Various diagrams show individual spare parts like linkage components, bash guards, shock covers, dropout kits, and protectors.

Manufacturer Warranty

When purchasing a new SCOTT bicycle from an authorized SCOTT dealer, SCOTT grants a manufacturer's warranty according to the following provisions.

Conditions:

The manufacturer's warranty is only valid for the original purchaser of a SCOTT bicycle who acquired it from an authorized SCOTT dealer. The warranty is only valid if the bike is registered online at www.scott-sports.com in the original purchaser's name within one year of purchase.

Duration:

The manufacturer's warranty starts from the date of purchase and lasts for five years for the frame and rear triangle. The warranty period is reduced to three years if the bicycle is not serviced at least once annually by an authorized SCOTT dealer. Service must be performed according to the maintenance instructions in the SCOTT manual and be documented with the dealer's stamp and signature. For frame and rear triangle components of Category 5 bicycle models and for rigid forks manufactured by SCOTT, the warranty period is limited to two years. If a defect is repaired under a warranty or guarantee claim, the warranty period is not extended. The manufacturer's warranty ends when the original purchaser transfers ownership of the SCOTT bicycle to a third party.

Making a Claim:

The manufacturer's warranty is granted by SCOTT Sports SA, Route du Crochet 11, 1762 Givisiez, Switzerland. After purchase, the buyer must immediately inspect the SCOTT bicycle and report any obvious defects in writing to their authorized SCOTT dealer. Hidden defects must be reported immediately upon discovery. For a warranty claim, the bicycle must be handed over to an authorized SCOTT dealer, who will contact SCOTT for defect rectification. A warranty claim always requires the presentation of the original proof of purchase and maintenance records in the SCOTT manual.

SCOTT's Performance in Case of Warranty:

In case of a warranty claim, SCOTT will, at its own discretion, repair the defect or replace the defective product with a product of similar quality, allowing for color and model variations. If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund will be issued, taking into account the usage period. SCOTT is entitled to commission third parties for defect rectification.

Warranty Exclusion:

The manufacturer's warranty exclusively applies to frames, rear triangles, and rigid forks of SCOTT bicycles. Bicycle components are excluded from this manufacturer's warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents or other excessive force applied to the bicycle, corrosion, improper maintenance, faulty assembly, installation of unsuitable components or accessories, or cosmetic defects such as paint damage. The warranty is not valid for bicycles used in a rental operation.

Miscellaneous:

These manufacturer's warranty provisions apply to all SCOTT bicycles from model year 2023 onwards.

The buyer's warranty rights and guarantees from component manufacturers (Shimano, SRAM, etc.) remain unaffected by this manufacturer's warranty. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes related to this manufacturer's warranty is Fribourg, Switzerland. This manufacturer's warranty is subject to Swiss law, excluding all norms that refer to foreign law.
