Product Overview

The PETLIBRO Granary Automatic Pet Feeder consists of the following main components:

1. Lid: The top cover of the food tank.
2. Seal Strip: A rubber seal located under the lid to maintain freshness.
3. Food Tank: The main container for dry pet food, a large cylindrical transparent section.
4. Transparent Window: A clear section on the food tank to view food levels.
5. Tank Base: The lower part of the food tank assembly, which connects to the feeder base.
6. Anti-Clog Detector: An internal mechanism to prevent food blockages.
7. Control Panel: The interface with buttons for manual operation.
8. Display Panel: An LED screen showing status indicators.
9. Food Outlet: The opening where food dispenses from the tank.

The control panel includes several buttons for operation:

Getting Started: Installation

1. Remove the Lid: Turn the lid counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Place Desiccant Bag: Insert the desiccant bag into the desiccant bag holder located under the lid.
3. Add Dry Pet Food: Fill the food tank with dry pet food. Ensure kibble size is between 2-15mm (0.07-0.6in). The maximum kibble level is approximately 15mm below the top edge of the tank.
4. Replace the Lid: Place the lid back on and turn it clockwise to secure.
5. Install Bowls: Install the stainless steel bowls into the bowl tray.

Power On

1. Connect Power: Connect the feeder to a wall outlet using the power adapter and power cable. The feeder will automatically turn on.
2. Install Backup Batteries: For power outage protection, install three D alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.

Power Off

To power off the feeder, unplug the cable from the outlet and remove the batteries.

App Control

Network, Router & System Requirements

• The feeder supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks.
• For optimal Wi-Fi connection, keep the feeder within 6 meters (19.7 feet) of your router, free from obstacles and walls.
• The PETLIBRO app supports iPhones running iOS 12.0 or later and Android smartphones running Android 5.0 or later.

Install the App & Log In

1. Download App: Scan the QR code (a square pattern of black and white modules) or search "PETLIBRO" in the App Store or Google Play to download the application.
2. Sign Up/Log In: Create an account or log into your existing account.

Automatically Add the Device

Before adding a device, ensure Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your phone.

1. Open App: Open the PETLIBRO app and tap the "+" symbol to begin adding a device.
2. Search for Device: The app will automatically search for nearby devices. Tap the detected device (e.g., PLAF103 WiFi Feeder) and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Manually Add the Device

If the app cannot find your device automatically, you can add it manually:

1. Select Device: In the "ADD MANUALLY" list within the app, tap the device you want to add (e.g., PLAF103 WiFi Feeder) and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Access Controls: Once successfully added, the device will appear on the Home page. Tap the device icon to access its controls and settings.

Device Controls & Settings Overview (App Interface)

The app provides comprehensive control and monitoring features:

• Wi-Fi Signal: Indicates the strength of the Wi-Fi connection.
• Food Level: Shows the approximate amount of food remaining in the tank.
• Settings: Access various device configurations.
• Sound: Adjust device sound settings.
• Power Connection: Indicates if the feeder is connected to external power.
• Battery Level: Displays the current battery charge.
• Total Feeding Amount & Frequency Today: Shows the total food dispensed and number of meals for the current day.
• Today's Feeding Plan: Lists scheduled meals for the day. You can cancel individual scheduled meals without affecting future schedules.
• Work Record: View a history of feeding events, including manual dispenses and scheduled feedings.
• Manual Feeding: Option to dispense food instantly.
• Scheduled Feeding: Set up and manage meal schedules.
• Record a Voice Message: Record and set a voice message to play during feeding times.

Within the DEVICE SETTINGS section of the app, you can:

• View Digital Manual & Video: Access the digital user manual and instructional video for the device.
• Customize Indicator Time: Adjust when the device status indicators are active.
• Control Voice Message: Manage recording and notifications for voice messages.
• Change Wi-Fi Network: Reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection for the device.
• Update Firmware: Perform firmware updates for the device.
• Unbind Equipment: Disconnect the device from your account, deleting all data and settings except recording data, network connection, and account binding settings.
• Restore Device Settings: Option to restore only device settings.

Recommended Feeding Portions

The following table provides recommended daily intake, meals per day, and portions per meal for the PLAF103 model. One portion is approximately 1/12 cup (20ml).

Care and Maintenance

• Power Off: Always power off the device before cleaning.
• Cleaning Components: Clean the lid, food tank, tank base, stainless steel bowl, and bowl tray with tap water.
• Dishwasher Safety: Do not clean the feeder in a dishwasher. Only the stainless steel bowl is dishwasher safe.
• Feeder Base Cleaning: Use a soft dry cloth to clean the feeder base. Do not wash any part with electronic components with water.
• Desiccant Bag Replacement: Replace the desiccant bag every half a month to keep food fresh.
• Desiccant Bag Removal: Remove the desiccant bag before cleaning the lid.

Disassemble for Cleaning

1. Remove Lid and Desiccant Bag: Remove the lid and take out the desiccant bag.
2. Remove Food Tank: Ensure the food tank is empty. Pull the notches on both sides of the food tank outward slightly, then lift up to remove the food tank.
3. Remove Tank Base: Hold the feeder base, turn the tank base counterclockwise (indicated by an open padlock symbol ?), and lift the tank base.
4. Remove Bowls and Tray: Remove the stainless steel bowls and bowl tray from the feeder.
5. Rinse and Air-Dry: Thoroughly rinse and air-dry the lid, food tank, tank base, stainless steel bowls, and bowl tray.

Troubleshooting

• Feeder Not Dispensing Food: Ensure the tank is filled with enough food.
• Feeder Not Turning On: Check if the power adapter, power cable, or batteries are correctly installed.
• Food Stuck/Not Coming Out: Ensure the food in the tank is dry, and kibble size is within 2-15mm (0.07-0.6in) in diameter. If food is still stuck, remove the food tank and tank base, and check if the chute inside is blocked.
• Food Not Coming Out (Power Related): Check if the battery level is low, if the power adapter is connected, and if a power outage occurred when the power adapter was connected but batteries were not installed.
• Varying Portions: The first few portions dispensed may vary slightly. After approximately 6 feedings, portions should become almost even.

• Packaging Disposal: Dispose of all packaging materials properly. Plastic bags can cause suffocation; keep them away from children and pets.
• Pet Suitability: Do not use the feeder with pets unable to reach the food tray or with any physical disability.
• Water Immersion: Do not immerse the base part in water at any time, as it may damage electronic components.
• Outdoor Use: Do not use the feeder outdoors. Frequently check its operation to ensure proper dispensing.
• Food Type: Do not use wet, canned, or moist food.
• Disassembly: Do not disassemble the feeder other than as instructed in this user manual.
• Accessories: Only use accessories recommended or sold by the manufacturer. Unauthorized accessories may create unsafe conditions.
• Modifications: Do not modify the pet feeder.
• Installation Check: Examine the feeder after installation. Do not plug in if there is water on the power cable or plug.
• Cable Placement: To prevent tripping, always position the power cable out of the way of foot traffic.
• Temperature Exposure: Do not install or store the pet feeder where it will be exposed to weather or temperatures below 0°C (32°F).
• Battery Type: Use D alkaline batteries to power the feeder. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Battery Checks: Check the batteries regularly. Before leaving for an extended period, always replace batteries with new ones.
• Lifting: Do not lift the pet feeder by the lid, food tank, or food bowl. Lift and carry it using both hands and the base, keeping the feeder in an upright position.
• Food Suitability: Suitable for dry food only, with kibble sizes ranging from 2-15mm (0.07-0.6in) in diameter. Larger kibble may get stuck at the food outlet.
• Safety Precaution: Do not put fingers into the food outlet or let fingers touch the rotor.
• Power Off When Not In Use: Power off the device when it is not in use.
