Key Operational Information
This document provides essential information regarding the operation and features of the Danfoss Living thermostat.
-
Initial Adaptation Phase
To ensure maximum precision and economy, the Living thermostat adapts to your heating system. This process occurs during the first few nights of operation, during which the radiator valve will open and close multiple times. You may notice slight fluctuations in radiator temperature during this period.
-
Learning and Optimization
During the initial week, the thermostat learns your room's heating requirements to achieve the desired temperature at the optimal time. This intelligent control system continuously adjusts heating durations based on seasonal temperature changes and your usage patterns.
-
Open-Window Function
The Living thermostat features an 'Open-Window' function. If a rapid drop in room temperature is detected (indicating an open window), the valve will close to reduce heat loss. Heating will be temporarily turned off for up to 30 minutes before the thermostat reverts to its original settings.
-
Automatic Valve Exercise
To maintain the radiator valve's optimal functionality and longevity, the Living thermostat automatically exercises it every Thursday around 11:00 AM. This involves fully opening and then returning the valve to its normal setting.
