- Supervise children and do not allow them to play with the dishwasher. Be vigilant when the door is open, as detergent may remain inside. Always start the dishwasher immediately after adding detergent.
WARNING! Knives and other pointed items must be placed with points down in the cutlery basket or horizontally in other baskets.
WARNING! Children must be supervised – dishwasher detergent is corrosive!
Installation
Refer to the separate installation instructions for detailed guidance. Ensure connections to electricity, water, and drainage are performed by a qualified professional, following all applicable regulations.
Installation Precautions:
- Wear protective gloves during installation; two people are recommended.
- Place a drip tray on the floor beneath the dishwasher to protect against water leaks.
- Before securing the dishwasher, test it by running the 'One hour program' with 'Speed wash'. Check for proper water filling, draining, and leaks.
WARNING! Turn off the water supply and disconnect the power plug or turn off the socket before starting installation.
Setup:
- Verify all recess and connection dimensions against the separate installation instructions. The height of the cover door can be adjusted.
- Ensure the installation area is firm and level the dishwasher using the adjustable feet.
- Built-in dishwashers require surrounding furnishings to be resistant to condensation.
- Affix the provided protective film to the underside of the worktop to protect it from moisture.
- Ensure the machine is installed so the door opens freely to avoid disrupting door lock functionality.
- Door springs may require adjustment after fitting a cover door to ensure the door is evenly balanced.
Drainage Connection:
Connect the drainage hose according to separate instructions. The dishwasher is suitable for installation in a raised recess. The drainage hose can connect directly to a floor drain or to a connection nipple on the sink unit's water trap (minimum internal diameter of 14 mm). The drainage hose can be extended up to 3 meters (total length not exceeding 4.5 meters). Ensure any joins have an internal diameter of at least 14 mm. No part of the hose should be higher than 950 mm above the dishwasher base. Attach with a hose clamp and ensure no kinks.
Connection to Water Supply:
Use only the supplied inlet hose. The supply pipe must have an easily accessible water tap (stopcock). After installation, turn on the water tap and check all connections for watertightness.
Connection to Cold Water Supply: Use for buildings heated by oil, electricity, or gas.
Connection to Hot Water Supply: Use for buildings heated by energy-efficient means (e.g., district heating, solar power). Maximum hot water temperature is 70 °C. This can reduce dishwashing times and energy consumption.
NOTE! Do not exceed the permitted water supply temperature. Some cookware materials cannot withstand strong heat.
Electrical Connection:
Match the electrical connection specification on the serial number plate to the electricity supply. The dishwasher must be connected to an earthed socket. The wall socket should be placed outside the installation area for accessibility and should not be used with an extension cord.
NOTE! Electrical cable replacements and repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer's service centre or a qualified professional.
Before Washing for the First Time
Water Hardness
For optimal dishwashing results, soft water (low mineral content) is required. Hard water can leave white coatings on dishes and the dishwasher.
Water hardness is measured using the German (°dH) or French (°fH) scales. Water hardness above 6°dH (9°fH) requires softening via the built-in water softener. Adjust the softener to match your water supply's hardness and use detergent/rinse aid doses suitable for soft water. Contact local waterworks to check your water hardness.
If water hardness exceeds 50°dH (89°fH), an external water softener is recommended.
Increased Consumption During Regeneration: The water softener regenerates periodically, which extends program time and increases energy/water consumption. The frequency depends on the setting.
WARNING! Select the correct water softener setting to prevent white coatings. Never run the dishwasher with an empty salt compartment if water hardness exceeds 6°dH (9°fH).
Set the Water Hardness: Refer to the 'Settings' chapter for adjustment instructions.
Top Up with Salt
When the salt indicator lights up, refill the salt compartment. First, unscrew the lid, insert the supplied funnel, and pour in about 1 litre of water. Then add salt (max. 630g) until the compartment is full, using large grain or special dishwasher salt. Wipe away any excess salt before screwing the lid back on firmly.
Start a dishwashing program immediately after adding salt to prevent rust stains.
Set the Rinse Aid
Refer to the 'Settings' chapter for rinse aid dosage adjustment.
Top Up with Rinse Aid
Rinse aid improves drying and results in clearer, spotless dishes. When the rinse aid indicator lights up, open the compartment lid, carefully fill to the 'max' level, wipe away any splashes, and close the lid firmly. It may take time for the indicator to turn off after refilling.
Greener Dishwashing
Dishwashers generally use less energy and water than hand washing.
- Do not rinse under running water: Scrape off large food particles before loading.
- Choose a green detergent: Read environmental declarations on packaging. Use appropriate amounts of detergent, rinse aid, and salt to avoid reduced effectiveness and environmental impact.
- Run a fully loaded dishwasher: Save energy and water by waiting until the dishwasher is full.
- Run programs at a lower temperature: Suitable for slightly dirty dishes.
- Select dishwashing program – Eco: This program is suitable for normally dirty dishes and is the most effective for energy and water consumption, designed to comply with EU ecodesign legislation. It washes at a low temperature for a long duration.
- Select option – Auto open: Automatically opens the door after the program ends for better drying. Allow dishes to cool before unloading. Ensure surrounding furnishings are resistant to condensation.
Connection to Cold Water: Connect to cold water supply if the building is heated using oil, electricity, or gas.
Connection to Hot Water Supply: Connect to hot water supply (max. 70 °C) if using energy-efficient heating (e.g., district heating, solar power). This can reduce dishwashing times and energy consumption.
NOTE! Do not exceed the permitted water supply temperature. Some cookware materials cannot withstand strong heat.
Loading the Dishwasher
Fragile Dishes
Some cookware is not dishwasher safe due to heat sensitivity or damage from detergent. Exercise caution with handmade items, fragile decoration, crystal/glassware, silver, copper, tin, aluminium, wood, and plastic. Look for a "Dishwasher safe" marking.
Loading Affects the Results
Load dishes carefully for optimal washing, drying, energy, and water efficiency. Ensure all dirty surfaces face inwards and downwards. Do not place dishes on or against each other. Angle hollow items (cups, bowls) to allow rinse water to drain. Place small items in the cutlery basket to prevent them from falling through the dishwasher basket.
NOTE! Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
The Dishwasher's Baskets
The dishwasher includes an upper basket, a lower basket, and a cutlery basket. Basket appearance may vary.
Upper Basket
Place glasses, cups, bowls, side plates, and saucers in the upper basket with dirty surfaces facing inwards and downwards. Wine glasses should be placed on the wine glass shelf, and knives in the knife stand (if fitted).
Raising and Lowering the Upper Basket
Pull out the upper basket. Lift it by the sides to change its position (three positions available). Lifting from the highest position returns it to the lowest. Ensure both sides of the basket are at the same height.
Lower Basket
Place plates, side plates, serving dishes, pots, and cutlery (in the cutlery basket) in the lower basket.
Cutlery Basket
Place cutlery with handles facing down, except for knives. Spread items out and ensure spoons do not stack. Place the cutlery basket in the lower basket.
Cutlery Basket with Lid: The lid can be removed.
Flexible Cutlery Basket: This basket can be separated into two parts and attached to the side of the lower basket.
Using the Dishwasher
Add Detergent
Detergent is added to the prewash and main wash compartments. Follow detergent packaging instructions. Use doses suitable for soft water as the dishwasher has a water softener. Too much detergent reduces effectiveness and increases environmental impact. Ensure the compartment is dry before adding powder or liquid detergent. Use a small amount for the prewash compartment if using powder or liquid.
NOTE! Use only dishwasher detergent. Washing-up liquid creates foam that hinders operation.
Dishwasher Tablets
If a tablet is too large to close the dispenser lid, halve it to ensure proper release. Tablets are not recommended for programs shorter than 75 minutes; use powder or liquid detergent instead.
All-in-One Detergent
Read directions for all-in-one detergents carefully. Activating the 'TAB' setting (3-in-1/All-in-one detergent) in the 'Settings' chapter disables rinse aid dispensing and reduces salt usage. If results are unsatisfactory, deactivate 'TAB' and use separate salt, detergent, and rinse aid.
NOTE! Optimal results are achieved with separate salt, detergent, and rinse aid.

Care and Cleaning
Top Up with Rinse Aid
When the rinse aid indicator lights up, open the compartment lid, fill to 'max', wipe spills, and close the lid firmly.
Top Up with Salt
When the salt indicator lights up, unscrew the salt compartment lid, insert the funnel, add about 1 litre of water (first time only), then add salt (max. 630g) until full. Use coarse grain or special dishwasher salt. Wipe excess salt and secure the lid.
WARNING! Start a program immediately after adding salt to prevent rust stains. Never pour dishwasher detergent into the salt compartment, as it destroys the water softener.
Cleaning the Filters
Coarse Filter: Traps large food particles. Empty and clean when necessary, at regular intervals. Lift by the handle, empty, and refit until it clicks.
Fine Filter: Debris is rinsed away during wash. Clean when necessary. Turn the locking ring anticlockwise, lift the fine filter, clean it, and refit, turning the ring clockwise until it stops. Ensure edges seal properly. Remember to refit the coarse filter.
NOTE! Incorrectly fitted filters affect dishwashing results. Do not use the dishwasher without filters.
NOTE! Check that the coloured stop on the right in the bottom drain is in place.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
Holes and bearings can block. Remove debris with a pin. The spray arms also have holes underneath. For easier cleaning, remove the spray arms and refit them firmly.
- Lower spray arm: Pull straight up to release.
- Upper spray arm: Pull out the upper basket. Unscrew the spray arm bearings counterclockwise to remove.
Clean the Dishwasher Inside and Out
Door and Door Seal: Clean the door sides and seal regularly with a slightly damp cloth. Use a washing-up brush for the seal at the lower front edge.
Display and Buttons: Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Switch off the main power switch before cleaning buttons to prevent accidental activation.
Dishwasher Tub
The stainless steel tub stays clean with normal use. For limescale buildup (hard water), run the Self-cleaning program with two tablespoons of citric acid in the detergent compartment. Special dishwasher cleaners are also available.
Remove Blockages
Unblocking the Drainage Pump
If water remains after a program, the drainage pump may be blocked. Turn off the machine, unplug it, remove coarse and fine filters, scoop out water. Remove the coloured stop in the bottom drain to access the pump wheel. Turn the wheel by hand and remove any items. Refit the stop, filters, and plug the machine back in.
If the dishwasher makes a whirring sound and does not start, the overflow protection may be activated. Shut off water, unplug the machine, and call the service department.
NOTE! Do not forget to refit the drainage pump stop.
Unblocking the Inlet Hose Filter
If the water supply contains small particles, the inlet hose filter may block, causing a 'Water inlet fault'. Turn off the machine, unplug it, turn off the water tap, and unscrew the inlet hose. Carefully remove and clean the outer filter. Refit the filter, ensuring the gasket is correctly positioned. Screw the inlet hose back firmly, plug in the machine, turn on the water tap, and check for watertight connections.
