Device Overview and Controls
The VOICETONE X1 features a user-friendly interface with controls located on the front panel and connections on the rear.
Front Panel Controls:
- 1. Drive Control: This knob allows you to increase or decrease the amount of overdrive and distortion applied to your voice.
- 2. Phone/Dist/Amp Control: This selector lets you choose between eight different settings for phone simulation, distortion, and amplifier tones.
- 3. Mic Input Level Control: Adjusts the input level for your microphone.
- 4. Effect Active LED: An indicator light that shows when an effect is currently active.
- 5. Effect On/Off Footswitch: A pedal switch to turn the effect on or off.
- 10. Filter Control: Adjusts the frequency band of the built-in filter.
Rear Panel Connections:
- 6. USB: Used for firmware updates via the included mini-USB cable.
- 7. Power: Connect the included 12 V / >= 400 mA power supply here.
- 11. Out: Connect this output to a mixer or a powered speaker.
- 12. Mic: Connect your microphone to this input.
Indicator LEDs:
- 8. Input Level LED: Displays the microphone input signal level. It turns green when a signal is present and red when the signal is clipping (too high).
