Important Safety Note: Ensure the main power supply is switched OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with any installation work. [power-off-symbol]
Step 1: Prepare the Lamp Fixture
Open the ceiling light fixture. This typically involves detaching the main diffuser or cover from the mounting base. A screwdriver [screwdriver] may be required.
Step 2: Disconnect Internal Cables
2.1 Take off the Safety Rope: If present, detach any safety rope or wire that secures the lamp to the mounting bracket.
2.2 Take off the Input Cable: Disconnect the internal power input cable from the driver or power supply unit.
Step 3: Mount the Base Plate
3.2 Drill Expansion Screw:
Mark the desired mounting points on the ceiling. Drill holes at these points using an appropriate drill bit [drill]. Insert the wall plugs [wall-plug] into the drilled holes.
Attach the mounting bracket (base plate) to the ceiling using the provided screws [screw] and wall plugs [wall-plug]. Tighten securely.
Detail: Place a small rubber sealing ring [rubber-seal] on each screw from the outside before tightening to ensure a proper seal against the mounting surface.
Step 4: Connect Power and Secure Driver
Connect the AC power wires (Live, Neutral, and Earth) to the designated terminals on the driver/power supply unit. Refer to terminal markings such as 'N' for Neutral and 'L' for Live [ac-in].
Secure the driver/power supply unit to the mounting plate using screws [screw].
Connect the DC plug from the light fixture to the corresponding DC input port on the driver [dc-plug].
Step 5: Install the Lighting Cover
Align the main light fixture with the mounted base plate. Secure the fixture in place, which may involve pushing upwards and twisting or screwing it into position.
After installation, restore power at the circuit breaker. [power-on-symbol]
