The Yamaha DTXtreme III Special Kit is a sophisticated electronic drum kit, building on Yamaha's legacy in electronic percussion. It features a new AWM2 sound engine, derived from the 'Motif' AWM2, providing high-quality sounds. The DTXTREME III boasts impressive sampling capabilities, with optional memory expansion, and a powerful sequencing engine. Its USB MIDI connectivity allows it to integrate seamlessly into a complete music production system, supporting live performance, rhythm creation, and studio recording.
Beyond its extensive internal sound library and kits, the DTXTREME III offers WAV/AIFF sampling functionality, enabling users to import their own sounds and create custom kits. The MIDI sequencer facilitates the creation of new beats. For live performance and studio flexibility, the kit includes six individual outputs, allowing for separate mixing of channels like Snare, Toms, and Hi-Hat, enabling personalized sound shaping. The digital S/PDIF output provides a digital signal path to external recording devices. AUX IN/SAMPLING IN connections allow for the integration of external audio sources, such as CD players, for practicing along with favorite tracks. The Special Set model is equipped with a 4-legged HexRack system for enhanced stability.
