The instrument panel contains various controls and indicators for the vehicle's operation. Key components include:

Instrument Panel Cluster
The instrument panel cluster displays vital vehicle information through gauges and indicators. The U.S. Heavy-Duty Automatic Transmission version is shown here. Key features include:

Heated Front Seats (if equipped)
This feature allows you to heat the front seatbacks and seat cushions simultaneously or just the seatbacks. The controls are located on the driver and front passenger door panels.
- To select a heat setting for both the seatback and seat cushion: Press and release the horizontal button (“A”) until the indicator light shows the desired setting.
- To select a heat setting for the seatback only: Press and release the vertical button (“B”) until the indicator light shows the desired setting.

Power Lumbar Front Seats (if equipped)
Adjust lumbar support: Press the front or rear of the two-way lumbar control located on the side of the seat cushion near the door. Release at the preferred setting.

Passenger Automatic Locking Restraint (ALR)
The safety belt is designed to lock during an accident, but it will also lock if it is pulled out all the way during initial buckling. If the safety belt locks, unbuckle it, allow it to retract fully, then pull it out and rebuckle the belt.

Driver and Front Passenger Safety Belt Reminder (if equipped)
A chime will sound and the safety belt light (a seatbelt icon with a circle and exclamation mark) will illuminate and flash when the ignition key is turned to Run or Start, or at any time the vehicle is running, and the driver's safety belt is not buckled. If equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, a similar chime and message will appear for the passenger's seatbelt.

Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror with OnStar®, Compass and Temperature Display (if equipped)
Controls for the dimming feature, OnStar® (if equipped), and the compass and temperature displays are located on the bottom of the mirror. When active, the mirror dims to minimize glare from lights behind you in dark conditions.
Automatic Climate Control System (if equipped)
This system allows for automatic or manual control of the vehicle's climate.
- Turn the self-dimming function on or off: Press and hold the dimming button [?] for approximately eight seconds.
- Use the OnStar system: Press the OnStar button [?] to connect to an Advisor, answer/end calls [?], or press the SOS button [?] in an emergency.
- Turn outside temperature displays and compass readings on or off: Press the display button [ℹ️].
- Display temperature in °C or °F: Press and hold the display button [ℹ️] for four seconds until the display blinks. Toggle between °C and °F, then release. The temperature will display after four seconds.
Adjust settings for automatic operation: Push the AUTO button (“A”) and adjust the temperature knob (“B”) to the desired temperature. The system will then control the inside temperature, air delivery, air inlet, and fan speed.
Set the same temperature for driver and front passenger: Press and hold the AUTO button (“A”) for four seconds, then turn the passenger-side temperature knob to select a different temperature.
Select air distribution manually: Press and release the Mode button (“C”) until the desired air source is indicated. This allows selection of air delivery to the floor, instrument panel outlets, or windshield outlets.
Manually raise or lower fan speed: Press the upper or lower portion of the Fan control button (“D”).

Additional Climate Control System Functions (Automatic)
- Recirculation [?]: Recirculates interior air in Vent or Bi-Level position for maximum cooling. Prevents window fogging; does not operate in Defog, Defrost, or Floor modes.
- Windshield Defrost [?]: Clears windshield and front side windows of fog/frost.
- Rear Defrost [♨️]: Clears rear glass of fog/frost and activates heated outside rearview mirrors (if equipped).
Note: To avoid window fogging on rainy/humid days, run the air conditioner [❄️]. Avoid recirculation mode [?] except for short times to prevent exterior odors or for maximum AC performance.

Manual Climate Control System (if equipped)
This system allows manual adjustment of air delivery, temperature, and fan speed.
- Adjust air delivery location: Use the mode control knob (“A”).
- Adjust driver/passenger temperatures: Use the levers (“B”).
- Set fan speed: Use the setting for (“C”).

Additional Climate Control System Functions (Manual)
- Recirculation [?]: Recirculates interior air in Vent or Bi-Level position for maximum cooling. Prevents window fogging; does not operate in Defog, Defrost, or Floor modes.

Note: When the climate control system is Off [?], outside air continues to enter the vehicle according to the selected mode.

Entertainment Systems – Radio/CD
Set the time on radios without a Radio Data System (RDS): Press and hold the HR or MIN arrow for two seconds. Press the HR (down) arrow for the hour and the MIN (up) arrow for the minute until the correct time appears.
Set the time on radios with a Radio Data System (RDS): Your radio may have “H” or “HR” for hours and “M” or “MIN” for minutes. Press and hold the hour button until the correct hour appears. Press and hold the minute button until the correct minute appears. The time can be set with the ignition on or off.
Program radio station presets: Turn the radio on. Press BAND to select AM, FM1, FM2, or XM1/XM2. Use the seek or tune knob to tune the desired station. Press AUTO EQ or AUTO TONE to select equalization. Press and hold one of the six numbered buttons until a beep sounds to set the preset. Repeat for other stations.
Six-Disc CD Changer (if equipped):
- Load 1 CD: Turn ignition on, press and release the LOAD side of the LOAD CD button. Wait for the indicator light to turn green. Insert the disc partway, label side up.
- Load multiple CDs: Turn ignition on, press and hold the LOAD button for two seconds. When the light stops flashing and turns green, insert discs partway. The indicator light will blink and turn green for subsequent discs. A number for each loaded CD appears on the display. To play a specific CD, press the CD/AUX button and then the CD number.
Note: CDs with affixed labels may jam. Use a permanent marker for labels. Use only good condition CDs without labels. Keep the player and slot free of foreign materials, liquids, and debris.
Access Program Type Selections for Six-Disc CD Changer: Press the TYPE button to turn Program Type on. Use the TYPE knob or button to select a Program Type. Press SEEK or TYPE arrows to seek stations. Press SEEK or TYPE arrows again, or wait, to turn Program Type off.
Chime Level Adjustment: To change chime volume, turn ignition On and radio power Off. Press and hold pushbutton 6. “LOUD” or “NORMAL” will appear. Press and hold pushbutton 6 again to change back. Three chimes will sound at the new volume level.

Rear Seat Entertainment System (if equipped)
The RSE system includes a DVD player, video display screen, wireless headphones, and a remote control.
- To play a DVD: Ignition must be in Run or Accessory position. Push the release latch to fold down the screen. Insert DVD into the loading slot. If a DVD is loaded, press Play/Pause. Press CD/AUX until RSE appears on the radio display to listen through vehicle speakers. Use volume knob on headphones for headphone audio.
- To stop or eject a DVD: Press the Stop button to stop, Play to resume. Press Stop twice to restart. Press the eject button to eject the DVD.

Universal Home Remote (if equipped)
Program the Universal Home Remote:
- Determine which of the three channels (buttons) you want to program.
- Press and hold the desired remote button.
- Within 30 seconds, hold your transmitter/opener 1" to 3" from the remote buttons. Hold your transmitter button until the remote light flashes rapidly (up to 90 seconds).
Note: This process may not work with transmitters that have a "rolling code" feature. Refer to your Owner Manual.

Sunroof (if equipped)
To open/close the power sliding sunroof, ignition must be on or in Retained Accessory Power (RAP) mode.
- Express Vent: Press and release the rear side of the Sunroof button to vent the glass panel.
- Express Open: Once in vent position, press and release the rear side of the Sunroof button to express open the glass panel. Push up on the sunshade to roll it rearward.
- Close: Press and hold the front side of the Sunroof button to close the glass panel. The sunshade must be pulled forward manually.

Steering Wheel Controls (OnStar®/Radio) (if equipped)
The steering wheel features controls for the audio system and OnStar®.
- OnStar/Voice Recognition button [?]: Activates OnStar® or mutes the radio if OnStar® is not equipped.
- PROG button: Cycles through radio presets.
- SOURCE button: Selects AM, FM, XM Satellite Radio, cassette, or CD.
- SEEK button: Seeks radio stations.
- VOL button: Adjusts radio volume.

Cruise Control (if equipped)
Cruise control allows maintaining a constant speed of 25 mph or more without using the accelerator pedal.
- Setting Cruise Control:
- Move the cruise control switch to On [⚙️].
- Attain the desired speed.
- Press the Set button [✅] at the end of the multifunction lever.
- Take your foot off the accelerator pedal.
- The cruise symbol [ cruise icon ] will illuminate on the instrument cluster.
- To increase speed while cruising: Use the accelerator pedal to reach a higher speed, then press the Set button [✅] on the multifunction lever. Alternatively, press the resume/accelerate switch [+] to increase speed.
- To reduce speed while cruising: Press and hold the multifunction lever until the desired lower speed is reached, then release it.

OUTSIDE YOUR VEHICLE
Power Folding Mirrors (if equipped)
Fold mirrors:
- Move the selector switch (“A”) to the center position.
- Press the right side of the four-way control pad (“B”) to fold mirrors in.
- Press the left side of the four-way control pad to fold mirrors out.
If mirrors were folded manually, cycle the power folding three times to reset them.

Automatic Headlamp Controls
Turn off Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) and automatic headlamps: Turn the exterior lamps knob (left of steering wheel) to Off [?] and release.
Note: DRLs or automatic headlamps will re-engage at the next key cycle.
Activate the automatic headlamp system: Turn the exterior lamps knob to AUTO. The system turns on front and rear lamps.
Manually illuminate parking lamps, side-marker lamps, taillamps, instrument panel/radio lights, license plate lamps, and roof marker lamps (if equipped): Turn the exterior lamps knob to the parking lamp position [?].
Manually activate headlamps, exterior tail/side-marker lamps, and instrument panel/radio lights: Turn the exterior lamps knob to the headlamp position [ headlights icon ].
Turn the fog lamps (if equipped) on or off: Press the fog lamp button on the left side of the instrument panel. An indicator lamp illuminates when fog lamps are on [?️].

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
Disable the DRL when idling: Shift the vehicle into Park, or set the parking brake (manual transmission only).

Content Theft-Deterrent System (if equipped)
Arm the System: Lock the doors using the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. The alarm activates when the symbol (a lock with a keyhole) illuminates in the instrument panel (approx. 30 seconds).
If equipped with a Driver Information Center, the alarm can be programmed for:
- Both Horn/Headlamps
- Horn only
- Lamps only
- Off
Note: Factory default is Horn and Lamps. Refer to Memory Settings for Your Vehicle section.

Voltmeter Operation
The voltmeter shows the condition of the vehicle's charging system. It helps improve fuel economy and extend battery life. Readings may fluctuate based on vehicle operation and engine speed.

Memory Positions for Driver's Seat and Mirror Settings (if equipped)
Use the driver's door mounted controls to:
- Adjust driver seat, including lumbar adjustment.
- Adjust the outside rearview mirrors.
- To set memory: With the vehicle in Park, press and hold Memory 1 or 2 until two chimes sound (about four seconds).
- To set for another driver: Repeat the process with the other memory button.

PERSONALIZING YOUR VEHICLE
Memory Settings for Your Vehicle (Driver Information Center) (if equipped)
Scroll through customizable features using the Driver Information Center:
- Press the Personalization button [i] on the steering wheel.
- Press the Select button [➡️] to choose a setting.
- Press [➡️] to move to the next feature.
Lock Doors (Automatically locks doors):
- Lock Doors: In Gear
- Lock Doors: With Speed
Unlock Doors (Automatically unlocks doors):
- Unlock Doors: In Park
- Unlock Driver: In Park
- Unlock Doors: Key Out
- Unlock Doors: Manually
Door Lock Delay: Delays locking doors/tailgate until five seconds after the last door is closed.
- Door Lock Delay: Off
- Door Lock Delay: On
Lock Feedback (when locking with Remote Keyless Entry):
- Lock Feedback: Both
- Lock Feedback: Lamps
- Lock Feedback: Horn

Unlock Feedback (when unlocking with Remote Keyless Entry):

Headlamp Delay: Amount of time headlamps stay on after vehicle is turned off.
- Headlamp Delay: 10 Sec

Perimeter Lights: Headlamps and back-up lamps come on for 40 seconds if dark enough when unlocking with Remote Keyless Entry.

Easy Exit Seat: Driver's seat moves to exit position when the key is removed from the ignition.

Odometer/Trip Settings (if equipped)
Press the Trip Information button [ℹ️] to scroll through Odometer, Trip A, Trip B, Tire Pressures, Timer, and Engine Hours on the Driver Information Center.
- Odometer: Shows total distance driven in miles or kilometers. Pressing the reset stem on the cluster with the vehicle off also displays the odometer.
- Trip A: Shows current distance traveled since the last reset for TRIP A.
- Trip B: Shows current distance traveled since the last reset for TRIP B.
Reset Trip Information: To reset TRIP A or TRIP B, press and hold the select button [↩️] for one second in a trip mode. You can also reset by pressing the reset stem on the cluster. Pressing and holding the reset stem [↩️] for four seconds shows distance traveled since the last ignition cycle for TRIP A or TRIP B.
Timer: The DIC can be used as a timer. Press the select button [↩️] while TIMER is displayed to start. Shows time elapsed up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds.
Engine Hours: Shows total engine run time. Pressing and holding the reset stem [↩️] for about four seconds displays engine hours after the odometer.

Fuel Information (if equipped)
Press the Fuel Information button [ℹ️] to scroll through Fuel Range, Fuel Used, Average Economy, and Engine Oil Life.
- Fuel Range: Shows the range in miles with the current amount of fuel.
- Fuel Used: Shows current fuel used in gallons since the last reset for Fuel Used. Reset after each fuel tank fill-up.
- Average Economy: Shows average fuel economy in miles per gallon since the last reset.
- Engine Oil Life: Shows the percentage of oil life remaining. An oil and filter change should be performed within 600 miles of the "Change Oil" message.

Curb View
The outside rearview mirror(s) tilt down when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse.
