Product Overview

Read this manual carefully before use, and retain it for future reference.

The touch area is located on the upper part of the earbud stem (as shown in the figure).

First Time Using

To take out the earbuds from the charging case:

1. Open the charging case.
2. Gently remove the earbuds.

Wearing

To wear the earbuds correctly:

1. Identify the Left (L) and Right (R) earbuds.
2. Insert the earbuds into your ears and rotate them slightly for a secure fit.

Charging

To charge the earbuds and the case:

1. Place the earbuds into the charging case.
2. Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the case.
3. The indicator light on the case will show the charging status.

Turning On

To turn on the earbuds:

1. Open the charging case lid. The earbuds will automatically turn on.

Turning Off

To turn off the earbuds:

1. Place the earbuds back into the charging case and close the lid. The earbuds will automatically turn off and start charging.

First Time Connection

To connect the Redmi Buds 5 to your device for the first time:

1. Open the charging case lid.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
3. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Redmi Buds 5".
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing.

Dual-Device Connection

The Redmi Buds 5 support connection to two devices simultaneously. Once connected to the first device, open the charging case lid near the second device and follow the pairing instructions.

Disconnected

If the earbuds disconnect from your device, you can reconnect them by placing them back in the case, closing the lid, and then reopening it. Alternatively, manually reconnect via your device's Bluetooth settings. The earbuds maintain a connection up to 10 meters.

Automatic Connection

Once paired, the earbuds will automatically connect to your device when you open the charging case lid, provided Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the earbuds are within range.

Restoring Factory Settings

To restore the Redmi Buds 5 to factory settings:

1. Place both earbuds in the charging case.
2. Keep the charging case lid open.
3. Press and hold the touch area on both earbuds for approximately 6 seconds until the indicator light flashes.

Function Overview

The earbuds offer various touch controls:

• Music Playback: Double-tap the touch area to play/pause music.
• Call Management: Double-tap the touch area to answer/end calls. Triple-tap to reject calls.
• Voice Assistant: Triple-tap the touch area to activate the voice assistant.

Note: In cold weather, dry hands may affect touch control responsiveness.

Connecting with the App

For enhanced features, download and install the "Xiaomi Earbuds" app. Scan the QR code provided to download the app for Android and iOS devices. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your earbuds.

Important: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone during the connection process. Place the earbuds in the charging case, open the lid, and keep your smartphone close to the case.
