Kitchen Hoods
Accurex offers a variety of kitchen hood styles and configurations with flexible size ranges and configurable options. The company is an industry leader in grease extraction, featuring efficient mechanical grease filters for Type I hoods.
Grease Hoods (Type I)
Designed for use above grease-producing equipment, Accurex Type I hoods are UL/cUL 710 Listed. They are available in various styles and configurations, with single section lengths from 3 to 16 feet. Longer hoods can be joined using a continuous-capture option for improved aesthetics and performance.

Island Canopy Hoods
Designed for single cooking batteries in the center of a room, these "V"-bank hoods feature two filter banks for exceptional capture in island cooking applications.
Auto Cleaning Hoods
The Auto Scrubber is a complete wall canopy hood and filter wash system, offering easy maintenance through an integrated control system. It is ideal for facilities with long duct runs, heavy grease production, and in conjunction with Pollution Control Units.
Proximity (Backshelf) Hoods
Suitable for low ceilings and light- to medium-duty cooking, these hoods mount close to equipment. They offer five dimensions of adjustment and optional plate shelves or pass-over enclosures.

Type II Canopy Hoods

- Condensate Hoods (Models XD1, XD2, XD3): Feature a gutter and optional drain connection. XD1 has no baffles, XD2 has one baffle for moderate condensation, and XD3 has two baffles for heavy condensation.

Residential Range Hood (Fire Ready)
The Accurex Fire Ready Residential Hood (XRRS) offers a sleek design with touchscreen control, providing protection similar to a Type 1 hood with a smaller footprint and built-in UL 300A fire suppression. It is suitable for commercial settings using residential-style appliances. The system monitors temperature, automatically adjusts fan speeds, and can shut down appliances. In case of fire, it releases a suppression agent and triggers the building's fire alarm.

Fire Suppression Systems
Accurex offers various factory-prepiped fire protection systems for commercial kitchens.
- Wet Chemical Systems: Ansul® R-102™ and Amerex® KP™ systems protect ventilating equipment and cooking appliances. They discharge wet chemical through all nozzles simultaneously. Amerex® Zone Defense™ and Ansul® R-102™ Overlapping Appliance Protection offer flexibility in equipment placement.

Utility Distribution Systems (UDS)

Pollution Control Units (PCU)
PCUs remove grease, smoke, and odor from kitchen exhaust using multi-stage filters or electrostatic precipitator cells (ESP). Accurex PCUs are tested and listed to UL 8782, tolerating rigorous conditions, including 2,000°F temperatures.
- Grease Trapper: Features a three-stage mechanical filter and a fourth carbon tray module to remove odor molecules. Independent pressure switches indicate when filter stages need replacement.
- Grease Trapper ESP™: Uses electrostatic precipitator modules and carbon trays. Air passes through ionizer plates, charging particles, which are then attracted to collector plates. An automated washdown sequence simplifies cleaning.

Direct Gas-Fired Heat
Accurex direct gas-fired heaters provide tempered make-up air. Models can feature optional variable air volume (VAV) with a patented barometric bypass damper. Direct drive mixed flow fans reduce operating horsepower and sound levels.

Indirect Gas-Fired Heat
Accurex indirect gas-fired heaters use an 80% efficient tubular heat exchanger for high performance and tight temperature control. The design features horizontally firing burners and power venting.
- XIGX: Suited for applications where a direct-fired system is not appropriate. Economical design for indoor or outdoor use. Variable volume airflow and mechanical cooling options are available.
Tempered - Coil Heating
Accurex non-gas-fired units provide fresh make-up air where gas is not available or desired. They feature belt-driven fans, vibration isolation, intake filters, and various heating and cooling options.
- XMSX: Suited for applications where hot water, steam, or electric heat are desired. Modular design for flexibility. Variable volume airflow options are available.
Untempered Supply Fans
These fans provide fresh make-up air where heating and cooling are not required.
- XKSFB and XKSFD: Economical untempered make-up air units. Feature double-width, forward-curved fans, filtered intakes, and hinged access. Optional accessories include horizontal or downblast discharge.

Grease Duct
Accurex offers Jeremias® prefabricated single and double-walled grease ducts that are code compliant and UL listed. Factory-built, cut-to-fit ducts require no welding, streamlining installation and reducing costs.
- Single Wall Grease Duct: Direct replacement for field-welded steel, providing seamless installation inside a fire-rated enclosure or when wrapped per NFPA-96.
- Double Wall Grease Duct: Replaces field-welded and insulated systems. Engineered for connecting cooking appliances, hoods, and ovens. Offers increased security with a limited lifetime warranty. Available in UL 1978 listed single and double-walled options, and double-walled zero-clearance UL 2221 listed grease duct with a 2-hour fire listing.
Roof Curbs
Accurex offers a variety of roof curbs designed for kitchen ventilation systems.
- Vented Roof Curbs (GPFV, GPFVP, GPFVR): Used for kitchen applications where vents allow hot air and gases to escape. Designed for use with specific Accurex fans to provide required discharge height above the roof line per NFPA 96. Available for flat, pitched, and ridged roofs.
- Insulated Roof Curbs (GPI, GPIP, GPIR): Designed for roofs covered with insulation. Available for flat, pitched, and ridged roofs.
- Non-Insulated Roof Curbs (GPF, GPFP, GPFR): Suitable for non-insulated or insulated roofs, and high wind/seismic applications. Available for flat, pitched, and ridged roofs.
